From arrival point to every area you feel the excellent service from well trained staff. Due to new normal policy all area well prepared for sanitize and following with strict health guidance rules which give you confidence your health security.

I booked 8 rooms recently for our annual Family Trip. We were amazed by the location of the property and the view was spectacular whether it is from your room, lobby, roof top. This Luxury small cozy hotel is ideal for all travelers and the food is amazing & mesmerizing. We were 17 persons and I did not receive any single negative feedback from the party. I was so thrilled to have booked this place but we all were very disappointed that we did only book one night instead of two nights.
Honestly you need to book at minimum 2 to 3 nights to really enjoy and have a relax stay.
All in all, The food, staff, service, rooms, atmosphere were top of its class and they were so flexible with all our requests which is very important when we travel as a group. Service was top notch without being invasive.

It is absolutely worth it - would recommend anyone to stay here and we hope to return soon ourselves. Pricing point, very decent and affordable.

My special thanks goes to Chaminda for his positive attitude.
Thank you to the entire team. Until next time !!!!
I will be back soon !!

The villa is located in the heart of Rumassala with a breath taking view of the jungle beach. It’s a ten minute walk to jungle beach from where the villa is located. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with an absolutely gorgeous view and high standards of cleanliness. It is commendable how the hotel adheres to COVID-19 protocols with easy access and to hand sanitizers and encouraging social distancing. We had a great breakfast delivered to our room and enjoyed it with a sea view. You can enjoy the sunset at the roof top while taking a dip in the infinity pool. Food tasted great and staff was really friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a great stay close to Unawatuna to do some beach hopping this is the place to be.

Me and my family visited Agnus Unawatuna for a Family Stay and we are happy to say that this hotel is just perfect!
From the location, to the food and the staff - we loved everything!

We booked two beautiful panoramic rooms where the view was just breathtaking! Literally! 😍

There is a lovely rooftop pool overlooking the amazing beach, the light house, the southern city lights as well as the hills!

Not to mention, the food was super delicious! MASSIVE shoutout to the chef at Agnus!
The plating was beautiful and every dish was tasty, fresh & mouthwatering!

The staff was really friendly, the lady at the reception, the food server, room/baggage service and even the security was truly kind & always had a smile on their faces 🥰

Everything was carefully organized and they followed necessary safety precautions since we visited during a Covid-19 situation.

This place is a must-visit and definitely a “we will come back” type of hotel!

A big Thank you to the entire team at Agnus Unawatuna.

You all are doing a great job and we hope you do more and more better and never loose the service you all provide now!

We cannot wait to be back again!
Keep doing amazing! ❤️

This small hotel surpassed all our expectations. Our room on the top floor had the most amazing uninterrupted views over the bay to Galle and down to Jungle beach. We had double deluxe room which had a very private balcony with those amazing views and a perfect sunset every night. Rooftop infinity pool and restaurant with the same amazing views. Troops of Macaque monkeys roaming the jungle canopy just below your rooms are a delight to watch, they stop by at breakfast time hoping for a treat or two. Probably our over riding memory of this hotel will be the staff. Unfortunately my wife had to spend two nights in a local hospital (nothing to do with hotel I might add) and the staff were amazing, especially the lead receptionist Gayanthri and the Hotel manager Udaya. They both went above and beyond the call of duty to help us in a distressing time. We really don't know how we would have coped without their help, compassion and understanding in our hour of need. Also big shout out to two local tuc tuc drivers that the Hotel use, Dilshan and Madush who were very kind and understanding. Ask for either of these guys when the Hotel calls for a tuc tuc for you, they're good guys. If you're considering this Hotel then consider no more, just book it, it's amazing.

A very modern attractive hotel built into the hillside on steep jungle between Unawatuna and Galle. Perfect uninterrupted views to Galle fort, lighthouse and clocktower and stunning sunsets. Just 10 rooms. Ground floor garden view, upper floor the perfect coast sea view with one huge side window panoramic view room that we enjoyed. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean, tv, good a/c, wifif, fridge, tea and coffee and a strong hot shower. On top of the hotel is the pool with its magnificent view and the lounge area. Only 8 sunbeds which can be challenging if the hotels is full and some day guests also arrive. Never too busy when we were there but a possibility. Breakfast was Western, sausage, bacon, tomato, eggs to choice, toast, a plate of fruit and juice, tea or coffee. Perfectly satisfying, or of course a Sri Lankan choice roti, dahl etc. Service was always good particularly from the friendly and efficient hotel manager. We did not try dinner here preferring to take the opportunity for dinner with our feet in the sand at the large selection of restaurants available on Unawatuna beach for about 500 rupees tuk tuk ride each way.
It is only a ten minute, partly difficult walk, to Jungle beach or again a tuk tuk ride to Unawatuna main beach, but for just resting with a great view you can’t beat the rooftop pool.

We had a great stay at this small hotel. The views were to die for from room, pool and breakfast area. Excellent location, just outside the busy area and close to jungle beach. It was the most expensive of our 4 hotels during our most recent trip and, although the accommodation delivered quite well, the breakfast was a bit of a letdown (certainly did not compare with Cocobay which we stayed in April 2018 for a similar price half-board). Service was great, they organised a scooter for our stay.

Overall a new modern hotel with great views and is still finding its way

This property, I'll start by mentioning the staff and how helpful and cheerful they are from the moment you arrive at the gates. It creates a wonderful balance between great and cheerful service but also not overdoing it so it allows you to feel comfortable and homely.
We had the pleasure of staying in one of the rooms with a spectacular view of the Galle bay, which I believe every room has and the view gets better and better as you reach the higher levels of Agnus and get to the top where the infinity pool is; I'm getting to that.

The top floor, has this absolutely outstanding view which you sit in the infinity pool and take it all in. I've I've been to some absolutely wonderful properties across Sri Lanka but the view from Agnus certainly tops them all. Not to mention, we requested a small lunch at the very last minute and the staff were not just happy to provide that for us but even brought that up to us on the deck with the view before we managed to even think about going down to the restaurant.

The rooms, amazing views aside, are spacious and well equipped with anything you would need, including a tea and coffee station which to my partner and I is an absolute must! The beds have the softest mattresses and I think would definitely be in my top 5 of beds I've had in hotels in Sri Lanka. Above all, what did it for me was the showers! Showers I believe are very important part to a room and the showers in the room at Agnus was so fantastic I didn't want to ever get out!

Thanks to everyone at Agnus for such a wonderful stay! My partner and I will remember it fondly.

Stay well! We will be back!

Stayed here this weekend and enjoyed every bit of it. Starting from the booking process till check out, everything was perfect. The location is absolutely breathtaking, the food is delicious (the Southern Prawn Curry for dinner is a must try!) the rooms are spotless and the service is top notch. Special thank you to Mr Chaminda who was extremely attentive, friendly and looked into every little detail. Plus point that he takes insta worthy photos!!

I'd personally pick staying here over any 5 star hotel. Keep up the great work guys! We will definitely be back again soon and have already recommended the place to all our friends.

We stayed 2 days at the end of our long trip here, and the location was perfect - close to Galle Dutch Fort, Jungle beach, Unawatuna beach and the airport.
We really enjoyed amazing view from the rooftop and our room, and the food was the best one we’ve ever tried on the island! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, we had to leave very early in the morning, but they were here and helped us with the luggage and offered to take our breakfast in a lunch box to the airport, which was very nice. Highly recommend this place to have a great weekend.

Hi Stuart, We can arrange tours for for you, just Let us know what you would like to do and we will be able to send you the details. We don’t have a dedicated tour desk as we are a small boutique hotel, but the tours can be arranged on request. Tuk Tuks although not parked outside the hotel can be called when ever you need one. The reception staff can call one for you and it usually only takes 5 minutes to get one. Also online cab companies such as Uber and PickMe (a local version of Uber) are also available in the Galle/Unawatuna area. You could use one of these apps to get a cab to the hotel as well. If you need any more information we are always happy to help. Please send us an email with your request. Kind Regards, Harsha.
