The place is crispy cold during rainy days and winter, but the food makes up for the bad weather (the kitchen staff are not stingy with their portions). The extra blankets come in handy. They could include bar fridges in the rooms. The reception staff are very friendly. The water and electricity shedding notices are well placed. The shower tap pressure massages the sore muscles from feeling cold.
Clean and neat rooms. With the rooms so close next to each other, management might consider to limit TV volume. Had to turn my TV volume up not to hear the neighbour’s until after 23:00. Feels a bit like a motel from an American movie. Must say, pricing is good!
I had a great stay at Amabutho Lodge, the rooms are comfortable, neat and in a reasonable price range. To add to the excellence, I have received extra friendly and outstandingly efficient service from all staff members! The bar had a great ambience as well! Great place to be for all types of travellers. Keep up the outstanding service . Will be returning soon
It is unfortunate to say but I will not stay here again. There is a pub on the premises and unfortunately the noise and drinking is not acceptable when paying for accommodation. It is way past 12h00 and the bar is still open and the music is still blaring and drunks walk up and down. There is no one from management available and security is useless to deal with the situation. So I hope this review draws management's attention!
We were on a bike trip around SA, and after a long hot day on the road, it's was with some relief that we found this accommodation. It is newly renovated, and it is clean with good bathroom facilities. Very friendly staff and so helpful. There is no restaurant on site, but we were able to order in take aways, which were delivered promptly, and tasted good. We were able to enjoy our dinner in a well stocked and air conditioned bar.
