From the moment I started corresponding with Karen about planning my dad’s 80th birthday weekend I knew we had chosen the very best spot – Sneezewood Bed and Breakfast! We were met and welcomed by Paul, and nothing was too much trouble for him. Our party was accommodated in a

Stayed in February this year. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and the food excellent. We stayed for dinner as well and that was superb as well. We toured the site of the Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift battlefields with Anthony Coleman (all arranged by our hosts) and

Hi there It would be no problem at all to assist with arrangements to visit the battlefields. The most popular day trip is to Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift - both Anglo-Zulu battles. This is a full day tour. The guide would meet you at Sneezewood in the morning and then you can either travel in your vehicle or theirs to the sites before returning late afternoon. I will need to double-check the cost for the guide to travel with you but i know that for you all to go with the guide in their vehicle it is approximately R1,800 for the day. If you can give me a day or two to check on the rate for the guide to travel with you, I will get back to you soonest. The other very popular day trip is to Talana Museum (located at the Battle of Talana site, Anglo-Boer battle) and the Battle of Blood River (Boer-Zulu). There is a lot to see at the Museum which covers the History of Dundee town, coal mining and agriculture and of course, the battlefields. Blood River has a life size bronze ox wagon monument depicting how the wagons circled during the battle. There is a small but informative visitors centre making it possible to visit this site on your own. I hope this is helpful but if there is any other information you need or that I can help with, please let me know. I will be in-touch in the next few weeks with other useful information for your visit. Warm regards Karen
