Villa Poggio is a very special place. Beautiful grounds, comfortable accommodations, and wonderful hosts! Jamal, Davide, and Samira were incredibly hospitable, lovely to talk to, and offered us great advise during our stay. The place is beautifully decorated with decor from around the world and boasts an inclusive feel. We wish we could have stayed longer and definitely plan on returning with family and friends!

Let us know if you are ever in LA!

We stayed here for my mum’s birthday around 22nd Oct. We were very lucky with the weather as it was still sunny during the day but it got very cold at night and in the morning. Luckily we just caught the villa before it closed for the colder season..
I can only imagine how further amazing the villa is in the Spring/ Summer as the pool was closed at this time- but this does give us an excuse to visit again :) Arriving from Florence the first thing that hits you is the beautiful Tuscan countryside and the warm welcome from Samira, Jamal and Davide. You are deep in the countryside so a car is a must, you cannot walk to nearby shops etc but the villa is always on hand for food/ drinks and yummy stuff!
It is a brilliant location for exploring the Chianti region and the lovely Chef Jamal recommended all the best places to visit. The food was lovely and the customer care is attentive and genuine. Being from the UK where we constantly drink tea, it would be great to have tea/kettle in the room but beyond this the view from the suite terrace is INCREDIBLE! We were very cosy at night and met with a beautiful breakfast in the morning. What really makes this stay are the hosts who make you feel like family and it made our trip very memorable. :)

It was a privilege and a blessing to celebrate my 70th Birthday in your tranquil villa. Sweet Samira and David were very hospitable and accommodating. The meals served by Chef Jamal were very scrumptious too :) Enjoyed myself exploring the impressive treasures of the world in the villa.Gratzie millè and Arrivederci. xx

We spent a wonderfully relaxing week in September at this gem of a hotel. A real refuge from the hectic modern world. The hospitality of Sameera, David and Jamal was delightful and it was like being with friends. Such a treat.

Perched on a little hill, nestled amidst the gorgeous greens of Tuscany, is a stunning bungalow, the colour of melted butter, Villa Poggio de Gaville. True to her name, this family-run resort is the very epitome of the old-world charm of the Tuscan hills coupled with the elegance of a Moorish mansion. The beauty of this mansion lies in the fascinating eclectic mish mash of artistic curios from around the world, courtesy of her wonderlust-bitten owner, Jamal. The world in the palm of Tuscany!

My sister and I had the pleasure of spending 5 nights here, enveloped in the warmth and kindness of Jamal, his lovely daughter Samira and her partner David. It felt like we had stepped into one of the chapters of the Arabian Nights! Each night, Jamal the magician in the kitchen, took us on a culinary journey, seducing our tastebuds with the heavenly flavours of not only Italy but from around the world. It was quite unlike anything I had experienced before.

If you are dreaming of a Tuscan adventure, like I had been, stop looking. This is the resort for you. And be prepared to be mesmerised!
