This hotel has very nice location, close to the sea and promenade and also not far from the railway station. The room was quite spacious. Possibilities for other activities then sleep were provided, there was a desk, an arm-chair with a reading lamp. Bathroom is quite small. My window and balcony were opening to the entrance area of the building and on the 2nd floor it is not very convenient. I also used spa-area. There is a whirlpool and one sauna. Everything is very tiny and I was lucky, that only 4 guests except me were using it at the time. In other cases it can get crowded, especially in the rest area, where only 3 chairs are provided. Breakfast was good, some fish reminded, that we are by the sea. On Eastern Sunday there were additionally some cupcakes and deserts provided. This is so old-fashioned and Germany-like not to have free wifi...

Wonderful location above the town and next to a wooded park and the Evangelical Church. It's a quiet, relaxing setting --- just a few blocks from the busy center of town. This family-run hotel is more modest than the grand "villas" that abound in this charming town. But the rooms are a comfortable size, the bathrooms are small and a little dated but the heated floor is a nice touch. It was nice to relax on the balcony although the non-balcony sea view rooms are larger. Great sea view from the large sunny breakfast room where a very nice, constantly replenished buffet is served. Although the hallways leading to the sauna and whirlpool are not particularly inviting the facilities themselves are well maintained and comfortable with a larger shower area and bath-sized towels. The staff at reception are friendly and helpful (even called & confirmed our reservation for our next stop) and most speak English. Although there isn't a full service restaurant the bar offers a nice menu of snacks & desserts and Adam the bartender is helpful and charming. Overall a very good value in a popular resort town.
