Our room “Rock Alcove” in the “Dream on” dependency, just a few steps from the main house, was small but cozy and tastefully decorated. Apparently, an able interior designer went to great lengths here: Everything fits together wonderfully, looks very high quality and creates a cozy atmosphere. Nice to look at especially the exposed timber beams in the room.
In the bedroom a French bed with comfortable mattress and good pillows. Instead of a wardrobe, for which there really would be no room, there is a clothes rail for hanging shirts and blouses. If you want, you can climb up a ladder into the pointed floor. There is a comfortable sitting area available.
Great little daylight bathroom, also with half-timbered beams, chic washbasin in fancy “bucket” design, matching tiles and rain shower. However, the shower enclosure has fallen a bit short, so you have to be careful not to flood the bathroom. This could probably not be solved in the winding building. Everything perfectly clean.
In the cosy small breakfast room, the friendly staff serves various morning meal options à la carte (no buffet). We had the dream breakfast with rolls, sausage and cheese as well as the healthy option with yogurt and lots of fresh fruit. In addition, we were offered prepared egg dishes, juice and hot drinks as desired. Everything was very delicious, of good quality, attractively presented and perfectly sufficient in terms of quantity.
Note: A steep, narrow staircase leads up to the “rock niche”, and in the room, timber beams running on the floor form certain trip hazards in two places. The room is therefore unsuitable for senior citizens or guests with reduced mobility.
