An appointment in Michelstadt required us to arrive the evening before.
The rustic house appears to be well preserved. Nevertheless, I am relatively skeptical of (very) old houses.
The small hotel has a really good and authentic restaurant. At 8 p.m. there was still something delicious.
The room is actually very old but the sleeping comfort is good.
Breakfast in the morning is good and presented with commitment.
Yes, I like big, modern houses of international chains. However, the house is completely fine and gets four stars

Very centrally located, the Hotel Drei Hasen had a lovely Bed/Sitting room on the main floor reserved for us. Although it faced the main street, it was extremely quiet. From here we were able to walk everywhere to investigate this charming town. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was not open either night we were there although a good breakfast was served.

It was our first night in Germany in this lovely small town and we wanted authentic German food. We could not have done better in this warm and authentic restaurant that is part of a hotel. Huge portions and great food. The goulash and potato dumpling were fantastic. Not white table cloth but warm and friendly

We had a great lunch in the bier garden of this hotel. We loved spending the day in this quaint town and part of the attraction was the lunch we had outside on a beautiful day. We had a glass of the house aperitif and then took advantage of white asparagus season. My wife had a salad of asparagus and strawberries and I had asparagus with local trout and potatoes. It was a quiet Thursday afternoon in a beautiful setting.

Super adorable hotel in the center of this charming town. Since the name is theee rabbits, look for the groups of rabbits around the hotel. The parking was easy, the owners kind. Didn't go to the restaurant except for a beer late during karneval but looked like standard gasthof. The hotel room was very large and cozy. See pictures. I recommend the brewery in town. We got a room last minute for under $100. Well worth it for these weary travelers, and partied on "girls night" the first night of he karneval week in the cellar next door. Was a blast!

This was the fourth time that we have stayed at Hotel Drei Hasen. This time we stayed two nights toward the end of a three week trip in Germany in May 2013. We had a bit of a problem getting to the hotel when we arrived on 19 May because it is in the old walled part of town with narrow streets, some of which are one-way, including Braunstrasse in front of the hotel. There also was a fest going on just a few blocks away and bicycle races scheduled for the next day. However, we finally got to the hotel by driving an unusual way, through/underneath the Rathaus. We were able to get a prime parking spot initially, right in front of the hotel, but had to move to the toy museum parking lot around the corner because of bicycle races scheduled to go by the front of the hotel the next day. We got our favorite room again, Room 102, for the third time. It is on the ground floor with a view of the historic Rathaus across the street. The room had no refrigerator, but we were able to keep our German white wine cool by placing it on the ledge outside our window. Ice cubes were readily available from the hotel restaurant. Breakfasts were outstanding.

A great hotel with an even better restaurant, rooms reasonable and smallish, but reflecting the age of the building. Good breakfast and friendly and helpful service. We'll be back one day

We were in Michelstad for one evening and it was a great decision to stay here. Unfortunately, the hotel's restaurant was closed but they made sure to recommend a place to eat and it was also great. The hotel is very well located, just in the center of the small town. The room and the bathroom had a lot of space, this was excellent!

We arrived in the delightful Michelstadt with a motorbike that was kaput! The hotel owner tried extremely hard to help us even though it was a bank holiday! The room was great, only thing lacking was the view. However you stepped outside and were immersed in this wonderful little town.
