We spent a wonderful weekend with friends in March at the Tatzlwurm. The service was wonderful as always, the Kiesl family and their staff gave us a warm welcome - feel-good factor times 10!
We had a very nice room with a view of the bathing lake, cleanliness and comfort left nothing to be desired.
As part of the half-board, there was a delicious menu, plus an excellent selection of wines, all of which was served to us by our charming waiter Patrick, I have rarely seen anyone who was so attentive. A big compliment here! The employees and their friendliness and willingness to serve are what make this house so special.
You can tell that this house is family-run, Mrs. Kiesl is always present, the alien attention to detail can be seen in the beautiful decorations.
The welcome was warm, the service staff are quick and competent, and Daniel should also be mentioned here, who made us laugh with some of his sayings.
Thank you for the great weekend - we will definitely be back!

The 2. Staying at Tatzlwurm was very relaxed and relaxing. The ambience is a dream, every little spot in the house is lovingly and tastefully decorated. This time we had a room directly on the lake - the view is of course overwhelming. The pool could be a bit bigger for my taste, even an outdoor pool would fit well into the general picture. The location of the hotel is fantastic. The food is excellent, you could eat alone at the salad buffet full. However, the prices of drinks are very salted. What is striking here, too, is the shortage of skilled workers. The staff is literally "girl for everything" - from room service to breakfast. Little things like a room made only at 4 pm, empty drinks in the pool area over 2 days, completely empty sausage - and cheese plates at breakfast and forgotten drinks are examples of this. But it is also noticeable that attempts are being made to replace the missing forces as much as possible. The boss herself worked all weekend - both in the restaurant and at the reception. The whole place was clean and tidy, requested towels and linen was brought immediately. Let us hope that the personnel situation will stabilise.

The Hotel Feuriger Tatzlwurm has a first-class internet presence and is also wonderfully located in real nature. The facility is huge and unfortunately there are not enough staff to ensure a smooth operation. Most of the staff speaks little or no German. Very unfortunate especially in the restaurant. The breakfast service is underground not a single person could be approached in German. No rolls, no coffee bean in the machine, then containers full, cheese and sausage still wrapped in clear foil, sausages and bacon cold even though they were in the heat container.... all small things you could quickly clarify if you can communicate. The food seems to be a lot canned. The cake looked like ready-made cake and didn't really surprise the taste buds either. Prices for the wines are excessive but there are also other drinks on the menu. The rooms we had overlooking the bathing lake have been very nice. The new toilets take some getting used to. We no longer want such bathrooms in our rooms. The cleaning staff was two days only after 3pm in the room which is not good if you are back from a hike and want to shower. After a complaint to the hotel manager we suddenly had German service mostly at our table. She complained that she does not get skilled workers and that Germans no longer want to work in the hotel industry. It all seems understandable but I don't want to hear that on holiday. We got a drink and a breakfast as credit but that was not what we wanted relaxed days nothing else. My conclusion: Great hotel complex, Great environment in fantastic nature. You should close part of the facility and with the existing staff only manage part. The restarant concept should be completely reconsidered.

This review is a little late. We stayed at the hotel in September last year and were very disappointed. We wanted to continue using the wellness area after checking out, but we would have had to pay €80. That's a disgrace considering the room prices. There are other ways to do it. The service at reception was terrible. Probably the owner or hotel manager of the hotel. I was also more than disappointed with the service in the restaurant. I wrote an email to the hotel after the weekend, but I'm still waiting for a response. The rooms and wellness area were very nice.

The Good (most of all): 1. Outstanding staff. From the front desk to the restaurant, everyone was pleasant and good at what they did. The property is immaculately clean, too. 2. The breakfast buffet was amazing. 3. The hiking trails and views are breathtaking (in both meanings)! 4. Delightful nooks and crannies to discover throughout a beautifully decorated Bavarian hotel. 5. House cats! 6. Great spa for massages and facials. The Bad 1. The design of the balconies/porches off of each room ... there is no partition between neighbors which results in zero privacy on porch. Moreover, neighboring guests could look into our room from their balconies. This would easily be remedied by placing privacy barriers between each porch. This would also help with the Ugly (below). The Ugly Smokers. We would have had a lovely view from our balcony and lovely fresh air from the mountains in our room. However, a chain-smoking couple next door blew smoke onto our porch and into our room at all hours of the day and night. This hotel would do well to completely ban smoking on their grounds. The few guests they might lose would more than be made up by healthy guests flocking to a smoke-free resort.

The hotel has a perfect location, as a starting point for winter sports and hiking. The view of the Kaiser Mountains is breathtaking. The hotel with its rustic architecture makes you immediately at home. The rooms are spacious and leave nothing missing. The wellness area with the panoramic sauna and a variety of other saunas and the steam bath is very nicely designed. The only drawback is that the very nice relaxation area is not directly attached. We will definitely come back.

Our stay began with a very friendly reception at reception. We were personally directed to the room and were happy about an upgrade. The spacious double room with large bathroom was tastefully decorated. Our request for extra pillows was met directly. The wellness area is beautifully designed, the “mountain beach” for relaxation and tranquility is to be emphasized. The four course dinner was very good and the service humorous and good. Also the breakfast fully met our needs.

The location of the hotel is very nice, very close are impressive waterfalls. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food quality is canteen level. Loveless, overseasoned, boiled. Dinner is better somewhere else. We let our court go back.
