Brenton on Sea is situated on the scenic Garden Route coast line and nestles between the Indian Ocean and the hills of the Western Head of Knysna's Estuary, a 16 km drive from Knysna. It's the perfect base and safe haven from where you can explore the treasures of the Garden Route. Our accommodation include self-catering chalets and self-catering cabins. The chalets have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge and a fully equipped kitchen. The cozy wooden cabins for couples consist of a bedroom, en-suite bathroom, self-catering kitchen and balcony.

the cottage was cosy and nicely fitted,but there is no space to sit at the table when the weather is chilly. The pool was unuseable due to thousands of flies on the surface - and no net nearby. What a pity in the hot sun.

I had the pleasure of staying at Brenton on Sea Cottages, and I can't say enough about this fantastic place. It's not just beautiful; it's impeccably clean and boasts truly awe-inspiring views. I was also pleasantly surprised when I requested an early check-in; they graciously accommodated us well before the official check-in time, ensuring our room was prepared and ready. This was my fourth visit to this remarkable establishment, and I can confidently say that whenever I find myself in Knysna, I won't consider staying anywhere else. I wholeheartedly recommend Brenton on Sea Cottages for an unforgettable stay.

Basic and convenient. Could do with some modern and updated kitchen equipment. Was generally safe but a it was low season we seemed to be the only ones there - which was disconcerting! Overall a reasonable stay. The location is nice next to the sea. The new place is impacted by load shedding quite a bit. Given this you would have through they would do more than just provide a small lamp . Most places we visited have inverters or generators as this seems to be a continuing issue in SA. Management should do to address more about this.

My brother and I shared a king-sized bed; still very comfortable; clean and tidy; walking distance from Blu Restaurant. Would recommend for future visit. On short notice we were able to extent our stay from 1 night to 3 nights. Daily cleaning available at no extra cost.

A lovely cottage provided all we need for a family vacation. The rooms are clean and cosy and the kitchen is fully equipped. Floor heaters work excellently - this was really good on cool autumn nights.

First visit to Knysna in more than 20 years and it sure hit the spot. The location of Brenton on Sea Cottages worked perfectly for us. The kids had plenty of space to play outside whilst I could do a BBQ with a spectacular view of the ocean. Only a 3 minute walk to the beach! The accommodation was spotless, kitchen will stocked with cutlery and utensils. 3 well proportioned bedrooms, nicely decorated and 2 bathrooms - perfect for a family of 5. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Well defo stay again should we have the opportunity to visit in the near future!

We came here as a family get together. The cottage was spotless and very cosy. Everything in the kitchen you need was there . Beds were very comfortable. Everything was within walking distance. Beach, cafe, restaurant. And last, the resort staff and reception ladies all deserve a medal for being the friendliest and very helpful when needed. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We definitely recommend to stay here.
