Detailed Reviews
Travelling to Loipersdorf Therme last 15 years and never dissapointed. The hotel Sonnereich offers great rooms with balconies, nice restaurants with variety for breakfasts and dinners. Attentive staff. Bathrobe and towels for the spa. Direct connection by the indoor walkway to the Schaffelbad and therme. Absolutely recommend.

Das Sonnreich is a very nice hotel, visited here couple times before for a conference trip. Stayed always only 1 night which was too short. Nice big rooms, very clean, indoor swimming pool almost 40m long. The hotel is nicely placed in the Austrian nature. Very friedly staff. Looking forward to next visit!

Been there many times (8/10) since its inauguration in 2001, the last one being on last June 2004.
That is: I like it very much.
Beautiful rooms (unless you have one on the rear, I never had) and if you don't mind spend a little bit more choose one with open bathroom (Queen Open Bathroom). In any case, you have internet access (for your laptop or directly by the tv-screen) and a pay-tv, with many free channels.
Prices are anyway affordable, moreover being an Intecontinental Resort.
One of the greatest breakfast ever and good restaurants for the evening (the formal Toskana and the brasserie Styria, which I prefer, being more relaxed).
Wonderful service, especially at restaurants.
Now, one consideration.
The hotel has only a small gym and, unless you don't buy the entrance to the Thermenbad (the main Spa, for which Loipersdorf is well-known) you do not have anything to do (except for biking or trekking on foot in the beautiful countryside of Styria, known as the austrian tuscany): the hotel haven't even a swimming pool, that is almost unacceptable for a five-star resort.
So if you want to take a sunbath or have a little swim, add to the room rate the sum of € 62 (the daily entrance for two people to the Thermenbad, including the supplement for the Schaffelbad, a quieter area with many spa services, which I suggest very much).
So, overall the hotel is fantastic, made this remark, and so is the spa where you can enjoy your time very much.
But, when considering the rate, prefer a package with the entrances to the spa included (and maybe the dinner as weel), like the special rates on the Vitafloor, or be sure to add in your daily budget the above amount, unless you prefer to just stand by in your room doing nothing!

This hotel was wonderful and we are looking forward to returning. We booked here for 3 nights at the end of our weeks stay in the region. We only decided to stay here as it was close to our football teams training location, and we were spending the week watching their games.
But wish we had spent the whole week there now!
We had a room at the back, so didnt have a great view but the room was still lovely. It was air conditioned, very spacious and comfortable. Daily maid service which even included picking up our general items and neatly piling them for us (not the tidiest of people...)!
The meals were great. You eat on the 3rd floor and can eat inside or outside on a large balcony area. As we were in a large group we could only eat inside, but you could book tables in either area at the start of your holiday. Breakfast was a buffet, but had fruits, cereals, breads, fried, cheeses, meats, youghurts, musleis, jams and much more! You were served coffee at the table by the staff but tea and juices were part of the buffet so you could help yourself.
Dinner was also a buffet but the choice was great! Every night there were 3 starters, 2 soups, 2 main courses (and then select veg / extras), 2 veggie options and 3 deserts. There was also a big bread selection, a salad bar, selection of sauces and a cheese board selection. Now my boyfriend managed to have an 8 course meal one night from all of this (he liked his food!). And the rest of us (normal people) had 4 - 5 courses every night.
One night we had a BBQ out on the balcony and it was great! Everything was cooked fresh in front of you, we were stuffed by the end.
The hotel itself has its own mini spa. Included in the room charge you can go into this and his has a pool, sun terrace, saunas, steam rooms, a gym and a solarium. There are also treatments available but these are at an extra cost. The pool and sun terrace area have a bar in which you are served from your seat / spot in the pool. The area supplies its own towels and dressing robes which can be left in the spa area to be washed etc.
The main spa is connected to the hotel but you do have to pay extra to go in there. We didnt get the chance but heard it was definately worth the extra money (about €20 for a day).
Overall wonderfull place to stay!

Stayed at this hotel for two nights for an event. Parking is a catastrophe - we were only lucky to get a parking space because a car left upon our arrival. On the next day, we had to park at the side margin. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who checked us in and informed us about the facilities and that as hotel guests we have free access to the thermal spa. Our room was located on the ground floor and was spacious and the couch was already opened and prepared with bed sheets, blankets and pillows (I guess for kids). The lighting of the room wasn‘t enough - a light in the middle of the room would have been nice. The staff during dinner and breakfast were very polite and acommodating - and this definitely also applies to the staff at the thermal spa, who worked there on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019. Unfortunately the receptionist of the hotel working in the morning hours of Dec. 7, 2019 (I’d love to name that person but will rather not do so) was very cheeky and unfriendly (I would’ve loved to call her out on her behaviour) when we asked her a few questions and asked her to book the free entrance to the thermal spa on our chips, which we wore on our wrists and also had the function of opening our door to the hotel room. Breakfast and dinner are served as buffet with an ok-ish/good variation of food. On our last day, upon check-out, we were shortly stuck in our room, because we couldn‘t remove the door lock (the chain got a bit tangled) and although we had a room at the ground floor, it was not possible to open the door to the balcony/terrace as an „escape“ alternative. We had to call the reception and ask if a technician could help us out and we again got a stupid answer from a receptionist (again, I will not say the name but she worked on Dec. 8, 2019 in the morning hours around 9am) saying that there was an operator‘s guide - and in such a rude tone. With two university degrees each we are capable of opening a door lock (since we‘ve used it the previous nights) but it‘s just that the chain got tangled. So we got the call that there is no technician at the hotel (what a service NOT) and we asked the receptionist for a screwdriver. Luckily they at least had that or else we would‘ve been doomed.

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. We are happy that you have enjoyed breakfast and dinner. But we are so sorry to hear that the colleague at the reception was not polite and rather unfriendly. This is not corresponding to our standards and the issue has been looked into. We look forward to welcoming you again in Loipersdorf. Best regards Christine Schönberger Assistant to the General Manager

Our stay in this hotel was one of the best. We felt spoiled and we enjoyed each moment spent here! The staff was very but very friendly! We were impressed by the positive atmosphere from here. The quality of the food was outstanding. All very fresh and tasting very well, plus a big variety . We loved to spend beautiful moments in the lobby which was really enjoyable (with live music in the evening). We felt the spirit of Christmas ! We had the best Christmas in a hotel! The activities for kids were also great. For us was a bit cold in the room, but maybe we are used with a bigger temperature :). The thermal baths are a bit confusing at first but once you find the way around you really can enjoy the thermal water and FUN Park. I highly recommend this hotel and for sure we'll come back .

We spent four wonderful days in the hotel at Christmas!
The room was on the third floor. Spacious, clean, fully equipped and looked at the surrounding hills and woods. The bathroom is sparkling clean! The hotel staff were always very kind and helpful.
We had breakfast and dinner included in the price. Every meal was buffet style. The food was varied, tasty and always perfect temperatures! The restaurant staff were very kind and helpful!
The hotel has a large swimming pool, four panorama saunas and a steam bath, a relaxation parts, and a sun terrace. Massage, fitness center and various treatments are on a separate floor. We got bathrobe, towels, slippers and a beach bag that you can use during our stay there. The hotel is directly connected to the Loipersdorf Thermal Bath and the so-called. "Mein Schaffelbad" - nude saunas, Roman baths and pools (they can be used only for a fee).
Special thanks Krista - who works in the hotel's sauna world - the kindness and the fantastic sauna rituals!
Thank you for the wonderful days! I hope to return soon, because it really made us feel like a GUEST! :)

I have eben to Loipersdorf Conference & Spa several times and during a visit about 3 years ago, I noticed a drop in service in comparison to the years before.
When we went back for a long weekend on a special offer my feelings were mixed and I hoped that things have changed for the better.
All my fears were without reason. The hotel is now better run than ever, all the staff is totally service oriented and the rooms are as great as they have ever been. The hotel is back on the top. For me the conference and spa offers the best total experience of all "Thermen" in east Austria (I have not been to the west and it would be unfair to contain them in the verdict). The food is very good, the spa and all the facilities are great and the rooms are also great.
The thermal bath is separated in three areas. The hotel pool plus sauna which is absolutely fine. You can also go to the Schaffelbad, where only adults may enter and where you get thermal water and a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. And then there is the public "Therme" where you have a small waterpark for kids of all ages and also thermal water for the parents. You also find several spectacular water slides. Everything except the hotel facilities costs extra. So there is something for every taste.
