Estas son las vistas de la habitación en la que me hospede. Un pozo séptico desbordándose, contaminando la playa e inhalando los gases tóxicos durante toda la noche dentro de la cabaña.

I wish we stayed here, we visited the hotel for drinks at the bar and it was a great atmosphere. Fun staff and guests having a great time. The bar is open late and popular, but mostly with hotel guests. Clean, modern, great looking pool. We walked by during the day as well and the beach in this area is clean and quiet.

Great place to relax during the day. If you looking to relax at night the music will draw you out of your room. Great place for couples and people looking to have a great time. I wouldn’t really recommend for famliy or people who do not appreciate the party vibe. Lots of great staff Alejandra at the front desk is very helpful if you need anything. Cynthia Can hook you up with fun activities like acro yoga, Paddleboard, and many other activities. At night you can find Johnny boy making some dance moves and serving up delicious cocktail. All the other staff are great as well, always with good vibes.

My stay at Selina was amazing. The nice views, good parties. My room had a really nice view over the ocean and the pool area. If you want to get sleep at night, take earplugs music is loud! Overall lovely stay. Some of the stuff could be more friendly…

The hotel is beautiful, I won’t say it’s not but this is definitely not a hotel for families. It’s more like a disco/hotel. We had a reservation for 4 nights. When we arrived there it took forever to do the check in. We could hear very loud music I think they even had a DJ, the guy at the front desk told us don’t worry the music will stop at 11:00 pm we thought well is not that bad. Around 11:30 the music continued and our son couldn’t sleep because it was super loud. My husband went to talk to them only to be told oh sorry but the music is going to continue until 2 am. We were never told that at any moment when we checked in or we wouldn’t have stayed there. But the worst part is that they said that starting Friday the music was going to be playing until 3 am or more. Of course that night we couldn’t sleep at all until the music finally stopped. Even when earplugs we could still hear it very loud. We told them we were not going to stay at the hotel any more and
We left the hotel the next day, it took forever for them to refund our money and after having to talk to the manager on the phone they finally did it around 11 am even though we wanted to be out of there as soon as possible. So not only we didn’t sleep but we lost half a day for them to give us our money. So if you want to party all night this is probably a good hotel but if you want to sleep and not party every day avoid this hotel. Specially if you have kids that need their sleep.

They place is amazing great facilities! We came here 3 days to spend our money to enjoy the food and drinks. The only thing that was really annoying where the dogs that kept liking our legs, touching our stuff and putting there noses literally in our food. The staff and the owners of the doga are not focused on this problem. They constantly see us correcting the animals.

The bathrooms are spotlessly clean. The first thing that can make or break our stay for my wife. The rooms follow suit. The cleanliness is only surpassed by the staff.

And the beach is fantastic, along with the food quality - excellent - a little short on variety, but that is OK>

Would we stay again? Yes, and that affirms our best recommendation.

This is the best Selina I've ever been to. It feels like a resort! It has shared and private bedrooms. I enjoyed the amazing pool and bar. The restaurant has amazing food and a varied menu to choose from. It's a great place to socialize and meet new people! There are so many activities to do. I did a sunset paddleboard session and it was great!

This hotel looks really nice at first sight (also on their website). Unfortunately, if you have a closer look or even made the mistake to stay there (as we did for a week) you find out that it is below every standard. The “service” is comedy. Some other commentator wrote about fishermen sons lacking knowledge in working in the tourism industry. This might be true. The staff is nice and trying. The problem is the management. If you send me fishing on one of the fishing boats anchoring in front of the hotel without instructions it will end up in a disaster and a couple of laughs. Unfortunately that is what happening in this hotel with the staff. And we had quite a few laughs. I don’t think tripadvisors.com allows you enough space to write down the full list of shortcomings, so I will limit it too a few examples to give you an idea that this place lacks even the most basic:
1. They don’t have enough towels (that is what they told us) if the hotel is full…
2. Soup is served with a folk not a spoon
3. If you order dish with a sauce it might happened that the sauce is served 30min after the dish (don’t expect to eat together, the other dish was always served at least 20-30 min later)

As I said these are only three examples, there were tons more.

The breakfast is horrible and boring. You basically have the choice between eggs and eggs. And is it too much to ask for a hotel in this category to serve the coffee hot not cold? At least they have a microwave…every morning the same procedure…unbelievable!
On top the hotel – although only 1 year old – already needs maintenance. The rooms are dirty, a bit rundown and with a lot of stains (towels, curtains, sheets). The room was very dirty when we arrived. At least that improved after we complained. With better maintenance the rooms could be very nice. They are spacious and stylish. Nice oceanviews.
Location of the hotel is also a problem. Being next to the fishing harbor the hotel suffers an invasion of flies and mosquitos (there are some mosquitos everywhere in Mancora, but by far not as many). As it is unfinished you also feel like sitting on a construction site. On top, the hotel is located on the ugliest beach in Mancora (stay further down at Pocitos) which is not looked after and no good for swimming.
I can’t remember staying at a place with a worse service in the last 10 years. Everybody was complaining. There are many options. Don’t get fooled by the first impression.

I went with my boyfriend to the hotel, since we arrive the staff was very gentle.
Until we went to our room we start hearing a cricket in the room so the person who show us the room apologized and immediately spread some repellent for the insect.
We decided to go for a dinner. The food was wonderful.

Then we returned to the room, but we realized the bed sheets were dirty with some orange spots all over the bed. We were so tired that we decided to sleep there and ask the next day some sheets change.

The next day we realized that we didn't have soap, drinkable water, hands towel and shower carpet. That was very annoying because we think that we have paid to have good service and take care for the details.

Nevertheless, the 2 next days the maid took more care about the cleanliness in our place but it wasn't still the best.

The restaurant was good. The pool amazing but it still needed a little bit more of deep clean of the water.

Staff was very gentle all the time

Good experience!

The location of this hotel is great. On the beach and one of the closest to the town of Mancora making its accesability a strong point with the other beach hotels being a long way down a mangled dirt road.
Unfortunately thats where it ends. On the face it looks like a modern hotel and it charges the prices for what it could be however this place is in desperate need of some maintenance.
A serious maintenance programme coupled to an intensive staff training regime could very easily bring this hotel into the number one spot in Mancora. Until then I fear that its ranking will simply keep dropping down the list as more aggressive competitors take the steps that this place should be.
