Sausalito Beach in Las Pocitas, Mancora is nicely-looking, modern hotel, not far away from the town, however, with some strange rules and issues. When you stay in the place like Sausalito you expect much higher level of hospitality and service than if you stayed, let say, in a cheap hostel, however, here it was not the case here. For them hospitality means just letting you on they property and, basically, it ends with this. Here the issues what I faced :
The advertised complimentary wi-fi is a scam - it's so slow, that you just give-up even trying to use it. Direct TV didn't work in my room most of the time first day because of the power shortage in the area, second day it just didn't work. I let them know, nobody seemed to worry about it.
My room didn't look like it was cleaned properly. My bed, although comfortable, was never properly made, with a bed cover left thrown at the chair for 2 days. Was it caused by the hotel staff being too relaxed, or, in the contrary, overworked and terrorized by the administrator ( I heard her talking in loud tones to employees) I do not know, the hotel was more than half-empty during my stay. First thing what I found in my room was a huge cricket in the toilet, and the room ( I stayed at the first flour) would get infested by ants if you leave a sweet drink or a snack at the table. I understand it's next to the garden, but sleeping with insects crawling and looking for food all over the place is not a good experience. And, by the way, this garden does not give you any privacy. I would have kids from the next door scream, run and play in the pawn outside my room, just 2 meters from my bed, at 8 AM every morning! The other crazy thing was that you were not allowed to enjoy the swimming pool ( which was, by the way, of descent size and deep enough) after 7 PM! So, where do you expect your guests to swim in this heat, at the pitch-black ocean full of rocks? Total nonsense! But the best thing was still to come. After my friend, who stayed in the near-by hotel came to visit me briefly, a got a 10 PM phone-call to my room made by a hotel employee in what I was reminded, in other words, not to try to sneak in other person to my room, what was the most ridiculous and disrespectful attitude I was given by anyone in any hotel I ever stayed! They gave me a discount at check-off which was fine.
The complimentary breakfast is tiny and leaves you hungry and the restaurant is overpriced. The beach is full of dangerous rocks. I've been 3 times in the area and stayed in Zorritos, Vichayito and las Pocitas, and my fourth time will be definitely Zorritos again! No more Mancora and no more Sausalito.

The hotel is nice and well located, not far from the center and not too close. The view is great and the pool as well. The hotel also has chairs on the beach with a roof, which is a plus, and even though the ocean in that part has several rocks, its good for a splash. The rooms are comfortable, even though they should install air conditioning in them and better curtains as they keep the outside lights on until late and its annoying to sleep. The food in the restaurant is fine, but expensive, as with most of these hotels. The food in the town is better and cheaper (try Cafe del Mundo).
The worst part is the staff. They don't care at all. If there is more than one around is because they are talking among themselves and ignoring every guest unless you directly ask them for something. They never smile and don't engage you, even when serving you food. They are slow in doing everything, even bringing hot water and bread for breakfast, which is a relatively easy process. They dump the plates and silverware on the table and don't care. In the afternoon we saw one of the staff openly sleeping in the bar section.
Bottom line, the hotel is nice if you are willing to put up with staff who ignores you constantly and provides no service at all, just to have a good view and pool/beach.

Worst hotel. The location is OK, but the service is terrible. The pool is time restrict (although there were guests that does not comply with) and the rooms are simpler than it seems to be.

When I was there, I asked to leave the hotel two hours more after 12pm and it was denied: the hotel was COMPLETED EMPTY. The service is obnoxious.

The cover of the bed, the pillowcases and the shower curtain had stains. We told them and they changed them. The pool was huge but dirty. The service at breakfast was so slow that the guests served themselves with cutlery, cups etc. The playground for kids existed but was in such a bad condition that we didn't allow our son to play there. The street outside the hotel is not lit up so it doesn't feel safe to walk or take mototaxi to nearby restaurants after dark.

The Pocitas beach is awful!

Very nice Hotel in mancora Peru, I spent a wonderfull time there
I got there in may 7 until may 12, We just loved it!
The food was so delicious, I tried almost everything... my favorites ones were the Causa Sausalito, The Parihuela Sausalito, Shrimp Tequenos, Seafood Rice. I really recommend these dishes that Hotel serves.
The service was also really good they cleaned the room every day and changed the sheets. The bartender was one of the best, he gave me peruvian drinks which I liked! Pisco Sour, Maracuya Sour.... so good!
Sometimes i spent time in the pool with a view of the ocean which made me feel so relaxed and out of this world. THE BEACH IS JUST STEPS AWAY!!!!
In general I would highly recomend this Hotel, its a place to enjoy and relax.

This place is great!!! I have stayed here a few times already the last time was for two weeks. The food is so good the Chef can really cook. I asked for an AMERICAN Breakfast and my plate was huge with Ham And Eggs!! I WAS SO HAPPY!!! Eating next to the waves crashing on the beach made me enjoy my meal so much more. The view from the hotel is fantastic. I saw a whale swimming in the ocean. The rooms re very clean with flat screen TVs the also have wifi. There is a big room with a TV if you want to catch a soccer game with friends. They also have Direct TV AWSOME. I went to the beach a few yards away they had a bon fire and the next day. I got a massage right on the beach. The staff is also really good they take care of you. I ordered room service and they are very nice and polite. The hotel has security and a security guard at the gate. I plan to go back soon. The food was the best in Mancora Peru so I didn't have to go far for a meal. Check this hotel out its worth the trip.

The hotel is not in the center of the city but not too far from it either. It takes 5 minues by mototaxi and cost 4-5 s/. to go to the center. It's calm with a beautiful view. It has a pool and a direct access to the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is not ideal to swim, but if you walk less than 10 minutes you can find nice places. There's a restaurant and the food is good but a little expensive. The service is impeccable! The breakfast is included (bread, jam, egg, juice, coffee/tea). The room has a balcony with an hamac. It's comfortable and really clean! We had only a fan (no A/C) and the temperature was perfect. Recommand 100%
