I had a great time. Great food, great service. Location is perfect, since it is not in the town of mancora, but it is 10 minutes away in moto taxi. They have kayaks, paddle board, jetski, wakeboard. My room had a/c and direct tv. My room had it's own balcony with a jacuzzi.

We have stayed at this hotel for a week and enjoyed every single minute. We have checked and seen many hotels in Mancora before we booked this, but found this to be certainly the best place to stay. We were looking comfort, intimacy and relaxation. The hotel met all our needs. The property is very well maintained, comfortable, luxurious and spacious whilst still having the charm of a boutique hotel. Friendly personnel at your fingertips, with lots of privacy and places to enjoy silence. The hotel provides many options to make your stay enjoyable including various adventure/water sports such as wake-boarding, jet-skiing, catamaran sailing, kayaking, 4-wheels etc. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was truly a paradise. Food is amazing. Try the club sandwich or the shrimp cocktail, very simple but delicious or one of the more sophisticated dishes such as the ronda criolla, literally fabulous. All fresh and super tasty at affordable cost. The hotel is also closely located to the village of Mancora, just 4 soles by moto taxi or a 10-15 min walk on the beach. We did this a few times and took some surfing lessons in the village, certainly a must-do. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and go back anytime when i would be traveling in the north of Peru again. Great for all types of travelers including families who appreciate comfort, exclusivity and great value for money.

This hotel is extremly nice on the outside - and severly lacking on the inside... We (family of 5) loved the quiet location (15 - 20 minutes walking along the beach towards the town center) as well as pool and spectacular garden who were very clean and well cared of.

Rooms and service were a big disappointment, though - especially when you consider the price of 70 $ for the double and 100 $ for the triple room, a steep price for low-season and considering the fact there were maybe 20 guests all together in the whole hotel at that time. The double room smelled moldy, had a very noisy AC and no window to speak of - three feet in front of it was the wall towards the street. The triple room had sea view and a balcony, but wasn't too clean or posessed anything special that could justify the price. Same with breakfast - toast, jam, eggs, juice, the basic fare we had (at least) equally tasty in 8$ hostels...

I really wonder why staff would give customers in low-season the worst rooms of the many empty ones they have (I saw better ones in establishments who called themselves hostels and charged not even a quarter) - it would have been so easy to "upgrade" and leave a good impression...

Room Tip: The rooms towards the street in the main building look towards a wall, are dark and moldy smelling.

Grandmare is a very nice hotel. Certainly the best in town. Located on the beach with two very nice pools and a great restaurant. It is peacefully located at walkable distance from the village. We enjoyed the jetski's and kayaks which are for rent. The staff was very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. We would certainly come back.

We rented a bungalow, which hosted three rooms (each with patios), a private central party area and an 'upstairs' with a great view of the ocean and beach chairs. The hotel was beautifully groomed and laid out with bamboo details, very secure, and wonderful for young children if you need a break from sightseeing. My kids loved the air football table, pool table and ping pong table, as well as the infinity pool (although a bit cold) and beachfront access. The food at the restaurant was a little to be desired, but the place was overstaffed with excellently trained staff, some who spoke good English.

This hotel is very peaceful with a spectacular view. Every bungalow is spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel amenities are great especially if you enjoy the ocean. They have everything from kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding, and wake boarding. The food and cocktails were delicious and if you want to check out some of the local restaurants, town is only ten minutes away. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

We love going to the beaches in the North of Perú, we had stayed in this hotel before and we loved it. The hotel changed a bit for good and it has an additional swimming pool that is smaller than the main one and also have some big kind of beds very well located when you can just relax in front of the sea and get some tan. The rooms still the same ones from last time with the only difference that they put some bambu decoration on the top of the head of the bed, we thought it was a nice touch, I looked into it I saw a lot of spider webs and I thought it wouldn't be a problem, the next morning my husband and I woke up with a massive spider bite each, my husband had a spider bite on the palm of his right hand and I have a massive one on my right leg...I couldn't believe it! The rooms were clean but not spotless and when you are staying for more than 1 day seems like the housekeeping department don't clean them as well as the first time. The restaurant in the hotel is very good, food is delicious and service is excellent, prices are average. We rented the jet ski and the quad-bike and they were good fun. If we come back next time I make sure we don't get a room that has the bambu decoration!

I went with my hubbie and grandparents, who party like it's 1969. Loved it. I love Las Positas, can't stand the dirty hippie vibe in Mancora. The owner of Grand Mare is extremely sweet. She le us bring food from outside and champagne, wine, beers. The swimming pool was awesome...and we actually ended up staying one extra night! The food and drinks were not great, but everything else was amazing.
