Beautiful spot and very convenient. Hosts are great. It is noisy at night as can hear other loud guests and lots of dog barking at night. Pool doesn't get much sun. But clean and well kept and easy beach walk. Lots of good restaurants close by. Nice breakfast in the morning.

Prepare yourself! Once you walk through the big sliding wooden gate you are transformed into another world! Kimbas takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the beach town to a Bali type of peace and serenity. The staff greeted me as soon as I arrived. The room was perfect! Beds are so comfortable and rooms are very clean. Each room had its own porch with lounge chairs and hammocks, fan, towels, and safe. There are lush gardens literally everywhere and the owner designed each bungalow around the many beautiful trees as to not destroy nature but to honor it. It's a 2 min walk to main road for shopping and restaurants and beach, but just far enough away not to be bombarded with the noise from town. The food is amazing and served by smiling friendly faces. I had the huge fruit / yogurt bowl with cafe and fresh bread/ jam each morning, which is not your typical stale bread with jam and instant coffee you get at most places! They have their dogs and cats that live their as well which made it more homey for me! The pool is very clean and looks better than most 5 star resorts I have stayed in. The owner made my arrangements for me to the airport in Tumbes via minivan for 30 soles whereas in town it's 130 soles! Town is typical beach town. Restaurants and surf shops everywhere and people hounding you to buy from them. I found Kimbas so relaxing I oonly left to go to the beach! The food here is way better and cheaper then anything you will get in town! And the customer service and attention to detail is impeccable! I'm a world traveller and can be a bit critical at times but I have say, honestly the only thing I have to complain about is that I have to leave! As a solo female traveler I felt completely safe here and will definitely return, not to see mancora, but to return to the relaxing tranquility that Kimbas embodies.

Beautiful gardens, lots of space, terrace & hammock, peaceful, 3 minutes walk from beach / restaurants of mancora. Beautiful pool area. Such lovely staff, friendly warm & smiling. No party people, no noise, very chilled out. We stayed for 9 nights and I didn’t want to leave.

This place really does the Balinese vibe well. It's fairly quiet and the grounds include a swimming pool, entry of palms and foliage as well as comfortable seating in both sun and shade. The bungalows are quite large and airy. Cleaned daily and very comfortable. It is a few mins walk to the Main Street which is nice for peace and quiet. The beach is about a ten minute walk straight out the front of the resort. The staff is lovely and the owner, Vanessa, is very accommodating. I came for 2 nights and am on day 7 of 14. Highly recommend this lovely place!

We stayed at Kimbas with my 4 years old daughter for 8 nights. Its garden is designed beautifully with full of coconut trees. the rooms are very clean and decorated very nicely with a lot of attention to details. There were many handsome Brazilian surfers when we were there. So we were lucky :) Nights were quite which we enjoyed much more than Mancora's party atmosphere. The price was right too. Besides my daughter learned to swim in the small swimming pool. and i gathered courage to take a surfing lesson seeing many surfers around. Thanks Kimbas.

The place is beautiful! Stayed there in July 2018 and couldn't have been happier.

The stuff was helpful and very kind. We arrived in the middle of the night and they let us stay in an unoccupied room until it was time to check in.
Breakfast varies from day to day and is was quite good.
Close to town and metres away from the beach.
It is close to the lighthouse where the sunset views are amazing!! A must do!
I would definitely recommend it as it is well worth the price!

We really enjoyed our time here. We stayed in a standard double and were pleased with our choice. The rooms are cleaned daily and the owner is very friendly. It is a short walk from the beach and Main Street but not far. The breakfast varied slightly each day e.g. Pancakes, omelette, fried egg. The swimming pool area is amazing.

Just stayed 6 nights here, definitely up there with the nicest accommodation we have stayed at on our travels. Just loved the place, so much so we barely went to the beach which is only short walk.
We arrived on an over night bus that got us in ridiculously early, around 5am, we arrived and security guard let us in. We did not expect to get into a room at such an hour but the guard must of got the owner up out of bed and he showed us to our bungalow, how nice was that, we felt very lucky that morning.
The bungalows are very nicely done, tiled floors, hardwood timber exposed beams, nice comfortable bed and nice furnishings, which is often missing in cheaper similar type accommodation.
The Kimbas bungalows are like a little oasis, beautiful gardens, pool and sun deck area.
Breakfast each morning was nice, tea, coffee, really nice fresh bread and fruit salad etc.
The wifi in the rooms is a bit hit or miss but good in the common areas near the pool.
The beer and soft drinks are reasonably priced and cheaper than most places on the beach.
The Kimbas bungalows is only a few minutes to the various restaurants, a few of the top rated like Aqua are at this end of the town, so perfect location.
Only slight downside and I certainly would not let this put you off is it can be a little noisy from the traffic, the sound seems to travel as he road is still a reasonable distance away, this is only noticeable early in the morning, you are not so aware at other times. Saying that our bungalow was the closest to the road side.
Really loved our stay here only wish it could of been for longer, would return in a minute.

We only spent one night at Kimbas, but we really enjoyed a relaxing stay there. The 'resort' feel made it a nice break from the rustic surrounds of Mancora, the pool was nice to have a dip (although a bit small for a proper swim) the surrounding deck and garden area is a very nice place to chill out. Our room was very nice, with a comfortable bed, stocked mini bar, nice bathroom and neat hammock area out the front. The staff at Kimbas are polite and very helpful. Definitely a good value luxury option in Mancora.

My sister and I traveled to Peru recently and found kimbas to be our favorite place to stay. If you are considering visiting mancora..then look no further. We took a 21 hour cruz del sur and we were tired and hungry and kimbas was the perfect place to relax..within the first hour of being there we booked another two nights. We would've stayed there our entire trip if our flight hadn't been so soon. It is not the place for the partier.. It is quiet, relaxing and off the beaten path from the loud bars at night. Our breakfast was beautiful and delicious and the customer service was amazing. We walked to the beach during the day but just to be cautious took a mototaxi back at night as it is off the main road. Kimbas is beautiful, safe and welcoming. You won't regret it.
