Wow, what a beautiful place to stay. Houses are perfect and private. Views are spectacular. River is great for a swim. Pool is beautiful. Really close to Uvita and beaches. Best beaches ever. Great for surfing. Very helpful and kind staff. Casa rio is great. Very spacious, perfect kitchen, nice outside dining area. We loved every moment of our stay. Beautiful to wander around the resort, very well maintained, lots of flowers.
We (my sister and friend) stayed 2 nights at this magnificent location. We slept in the “tents” which give you the opportunity to be surrounded by the beautiful nature and hear the animals and at the same time enjoy the luxury of a hot shower, comfy beds, good breakfast and nice swimming pool. The staff as well as the owner Steve were all very helpful and friendly. Any question was immediately answered by whatsapp when needed. Would definitely recommend this place! (4x4 is highly recommended to get up there, but I’d recommend renting a 4x4 anyways to travel around CR)
I was blown away by my stay at Manoas. Steve and the rest of the staff are so kind, and the retreat space is beautiful. I stayed in the glamping tent with my sister and I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it is. We enjoyed sleeping in the jungle- feeling as though we were in the jungle with the protection of being in a tent! I loved spotting wildlife, and the owner took the time to explain the plants and animals that reside at Manoas. The food at the restaurant was phenomenal, and was catered to dietary needs. I can't wait to return, and would highly recommend you checking it out for yourself!
Can't say enough good things about The Manoas. Secluded, wildlife and tropical plants abound, meticulously maintained, amazing traditional meals or common fare prepared by a professional and friendly staff. Owner bent over backwards multiple times to ensure our every need was met to our satisfaction. Would highly recommend!
I came to Manoas on a yoga retreat, the photos looked amazing online but it just doesn't do this place justice! Everything from the beautiful nature all around, the friendly and accommodating staff, to the food, it was all just stellar. We chose to stay in a yurt style tent that had a king size bed and private bathroom, there is no air condition so you have to be cool with humidity and the sound of nature but that is EXACTLY what I love about it. (They also have air conditioned options as well so something for everyone!) You can take a short walk through the jungle to the river and enjoy the serenity and cool refreshing water. We got outdoor massages which were amazing and every day we saw toucans, macaws, and tons of other birds I have never seen before it was just amazing. The trip up and down the mountain is a little bumpy but it is well kept and a beautiful way to get to this mountain top spot! This was my third trip to Costa Rica but the first time to Uvita area, as always, I am just floored at how friendly and nice everyone we meet always are in this country! Being in nature and around people who truly live the Pura Vida lifestyle is really a welcome change to the usual. I look forward to visiting Manoas again for more retreats!!…
