We had a trip planned to Europe that we had to cancel because of the issues with Covid and renewed restrictions. So we had to find an alternative really quick and we opted for Costa Rica. This boutique hotel and spa was reasonably priced because end of July Its winter here and the rainy season. It is nestled inside a rain forest so you wake up to howler monkeys in the morning. Every room has a massive balcony with stunning views of the ocean and you’re surrounded by beautiful birds like macaws and toucans which normally you’d only see in a zoo. The room itself is massive and it has all the bells and whistles. The wow factor of this hotel is off the charts !!!

This hotel was our last destination on our CR Journey. Nearly every room (At least upper floor) seems to have a view to the sea. If you're choosing the rooms west-ward you even have the best sunsets right from your balcony. The entire hotel ground was well kept and they have the biggest swimming pool I saw so long in CR. We really liked the friendly hotel staff - especially Damian, which helped us with every request we had. The owners of the hotel are from Austria and living on the hotel grounds, they try to make your stay unforgettable and asked us about our wellbeing frequently, which we really appreciated. The provided food was on a high quality. Even the Wiener Schnitzel was really delicious (I could not resist to try it). The hotel is based a little bit outside of Uvita itself. A car is a good idea to enjoy the environment.

Over all our stay was very good. The rooms are average and the grounds are well kept but not much upgrades have been made to the property in general. There is a nice pool and the grounds are beautiful probably one of the more biodiverse properties we have seen throughout the pacific coast of Costa Rica. The restaurant was good and the drinks were great. Thankfully for that being we were there during hurricane Eta and there wasn’t really much more to do with all the rain. We really enjoyed most of our meals but what made our experience great was Helbert, what a personable guy. He had so much patience for my children one who was indecisive every meal and drink order. He made my girls some great mocktails and the best mojitos. Damian was also a pleasure to work with and accommodated any request that I had for him. The room rate is a bit elevated comparatively to other hotels we have stayed at in CR and It is certainly remote so it’s a good idea to have a rental car if staying here or you will need to get a taxi to go into town. Overall I am very happy to have chosen this hotel and lucked out having Helbert on for the days we were there as he was great company. It is locals like Helbert which make me truly love this country and it’s people. I wish the best for this establishment and all of its employees during this challenging time, Pura Vida.

Nice place, beautiful surroundings, rooms are nice not that luxurious but pretty big and clean. Toiletries are basic. Bed is hard but comfortable at the end. The most important thing is service, staff is amazing. Hebert at the restaurant is the greatest, one really valuable worker, we loved him! Restaurant prices are pretty over the top, food is OK (we only paid for 1 lunch) but there are tons of places to go within a short drive away. Included breakfast is abundant and tasty. Views are amazing. Will definitely return. *didn´t like on sunday morning a lot of non-hotel's guest coming to use the pool and drink alcohol. It got really crowded.

We had a great room. It was very spacous with a comfortable 4 poster bed and both elevated and on the end of a row so there was no disturbance by other guests. The a/c worked well, no mosquitoes and we had wonderful views of the sunset both nights from the wide verandah. The restaurant was of a high standard and the staff were excellent - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Although it is quite a steep site there are plenty of areas to walk and we had great close-up views of a group of toucans one morning. The only thing I found disappointing was that the huge pool was too warm to be refreshing -not sure if that is from solar radiation or just the thermostat set too high.
