We stayed at Alma the first week of January and we were really pleased with the services offered, the rooms, and the food at the restaurant. The game area is perfect and the pool table very fun.
The food was delicious and the swimming pool welcomed us on the most hot days.
Amazing staff always willing to help with a smile on their face
We will definetly come back in the future

This boutique hotel is truly exceptional. The food, services, rooms, location can be rated 5 stars. Highly recommended!
The room and decorations are modern and stylish. They serve fresh fish directly from the local fishermen which come everyday to the hotel with the catch of the day.
The services are exemplary, all personnel being friendly and taking maximum care of the customers.
The location is relaxing and not crowded being between Paje and Jambiani.
Our whole experience and vacation were lovely.

This place is a dream! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you could ever want. The room was beautiful, clean, and full of special touches. Pool is serene and looks out over the white sand beach. A great place to hang while the tide is out. They prepared a beautiful candlelit dinner on the beach for our honeymoon and a floating picnic to enjoy poolside. The seafood platter was overflowing with lobster, prawns, tuna, veggies, and chips. Mika made our stay even more special because he was so friendly and accommodating. We would stay for longer if we could afford it!

Definitely one of the best places in Zanzibar. Very cosy, friendly ambiance. Well designed and taken care of. They don’t save on furniture, appliances, bed clothes, etc. A lot of staff to keep it clean and meet all your requests without delays. Nice restaurant with high end service. Very decent wine list. Maybe they should offer bigger variety of seafood since it is on the beach)
Hope to stay with them again one day.

It sounds like you had a fantastic experience at this place in Zanzibar! The cozy and friendly ambiance, along with the well-designed and well-maintained facilities, made a strong impression on you. It's great to hear that they prioritize quality in their furnishings, appliances, and bed linens, and that they have attentive staff who ensure cleanliness and promptly fulfill guest requests. The high-end service at the restaurant and a decent wine list added to your enjoyment. Your suggestion about offering a bigger variety of seafood, considering the beachside location, seems reasonable and could enhance the dining experience even further. Overall, it sounds like you're eager to return someday, which speaks volumes about your positive experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

My daughter and I spent a wonderful 3 nights at Alma Boutique Hotel. The rooms were superb!
The staff were so attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we had a great stay. The location of the Hotel is also very good - it was an easy walk to Paje and also to "main Jambiani" in the other direction.
Thank you all!

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Jambiani / Paje area.

The premises are 5-stars (even better in real life), from the room to the pool or dining areas, and the beach is just beautiful.

You have plenty of places around in case you are looking to do any kitesurf / other excursions.

I went to Alma for dinner two days ago. I was the only African client. They purposely separated me from the rest of their client and put me on a small table downstairs while the restaurant on their European client was sitting upstairs. When I asked them why, they pretended that the restaurant was full, while some tables were empty.
When coming to Zanzibar I did not expect to be discriminated against based on my color skin, but the owner seems to have reintroduced the apartheid.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the distressing situation you described. Your experience is not reflective of the values we uphold at Alma, and we take accusations of discrimination very seriously. At Alma Boutique Hotel, our goal is to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for all our guests, regardless of their background, religion, race, gender, or ethnicity. Our General Manager and the entire team are committed to addressing and rectifying any actions that may have caused you discomfort. When you arrived without prior notice or a reservation, our team informed you that we were fully booked. Each table at our restaurant is assigned to a room, which means that even if some tables appeared empty, they were reserved for our in-house guests. Despite this, we tried to accommodate you by offering the bar area until a table opened up which you agreed. It is very disheartening to read your review given all the efforts made to ensure you were comfortable at all time. We value all our guests and wish everyone feel respected as well as valued at our establishment. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further with you. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can better understand your situation and make amends. Once again, we apologize for your experience and hope to welcome you back soon. Please remember to make a reservation ahead so we can ensure availability and provide you with the best possible experience at Alma Boutique Hotel. We wish you the best.

Very quiet. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Rooms were well equipped and had a very good Airconditioning system.
