We had a wonderful time. The service and food were superb. Our room was lovely, with our own balcony overlooking the village and former battlefield of Isandlwana. The resident historian Rob Gerrard brought the battles of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift to life on our visits to the battlefields. The lodge is an amazing, earthy building, blending into the hillside.
