We felt very welcome at Veggera Hotel, the place was perfectly clean, hotel setting is very convenient for daily beach stroll.Joana at reception could handle any query- supper efficient. Our room was spacious. The food at Pergola is beautiful, comes in huge portions, everyone made us feel at home. We can't praise the place enough, would love to come back.

Good friendly service from restaurant staff flexible half board dining fair choice large portions. Good location opposite beach but 5 minute walk from coach drop off point. We had 3 rooms in different parts of the hotel none of which appeared to have been refurbished to the modern images shown on the website. The pool was not cleaned during our weeks stay .The beach area was also dirty . The Jet2 rep Alex was excellent and extremely helpful On the last day we had to check out at 11:00 am but we airport transfer was not until 20:30, but although the hotel did not appear to be full the only facilities offered for showering and changing were an outside shower by the pool and the public toilets next to reception. The manager and reception staff were not at all interested in trying to resolve the situation ,just kept saying NO Surely a room could have been available, possibly bookable until 18:00 which would have easily sorted this issue. An average 3* hotel with good points but with some bad points which would seem to be easily be sorted with management intervention

Paid for a superior sea view room , the view of the sea was almost obscured by two huge trees , there were two single wrought iron beds pushed together which were different heights! The noisiest fridge I have ever heard had two sleepless nights until it was finally changed. Pool was not cleaned the full week of our stay , and the cherry on the cake came on check out day ( we had an evening pick up ) when we asked if we could have use of a shower room we were told our only option was to use the shower by the pool!! Freezing cold water and no privacy ? No thank you !

We didn’t stay at this hotel but visited the bar nightly because Dimitri the Bar Manager made us feel so welcome. He made outstanding cocktails and was very professional. We hope to return to Santorini one day and would certainly recommend this bar. Thanks Dimitri, Brendan & Kate

Loved this hotel. Our room 61 is an economy double and overlooked the pool and had a well sized balcony but not all rooms had that. Room size good, bathroom recently updated with great shower. No tea/coffee in room but their restaurant was close enough. Room clean and tidy, bed comfy and TV and Wi-Fi etc as you expect. Overall very pleased.

Lovely hotel. We had an economy room for 3 with a double bed and sofa bed. Room was quite small but very clean (thanks to the lovely Pavlina), with a comfortable bed and a huge balcony. Breakfast was good and hotel staff were polite and helpful. 2 pools are small with only a few sunbeds, but we always managed to get a couple. Location is good, with lots of restaurants and bars and the bus stop is a 5 minute walk

Veggera Hotel = false advertisement, its not a Hotel but dark horrible apartments. We stayed here in August for 5 nights in "cell" 60. On arrival you enter a lovely cool marble lobby and that's it. Once you leave to go to your room it's a disaster, all grubby apartments. Ours was like a dungeon, 6 steps underground to a dark dismal room reeking if sewage, drain at door, see photos. The "balcony " had a view of walls, people's feet walking past and housekeeping equipment. The beds were rock hard and filthy, still have back pain. The breakfast- had to leave the site walk past a supermarket and into big room, another disaster, no management on site, no meet and greet, find our own table. Never any cups, teaspoons, teapots. Apples in basket on buffet had maggots on them. Hotel Restaurant Pregola is across the road on the sand, staff drag you in to eat as you walk past, food not nice, old and reheated....and expensive. Spoke with Hotel manager on phone 2nd day as he was never on site, he was very rude, during a 3 minute chat he said 5 times he was Hotel manager....really? Well manage it then and show an appearance, phantom manager. Don't stay in this establishment if you want a relaxing holiday.

Hotel Veggera • Nice and clean Hotel. Good Airconditioning. • Reception upon arrival was disturbing. Nobody could speak English or French and the explanations were given via a Google Translator which was disturbing and not clear. • The hotel had two swimming pools . Nice but fairly small for the number of guests. • Breakfast was OK but with a lack of variety.

Hotel is peaceful and relaxing. The staff were so helpful and accommodating from check in where they escort you and assist with your luggage to your room and ensure you are settled in. Very knowledgeable to gove you hints and tips to do while here. Phil staff and beach staff very happy and friendly. Location was perfect for us. Not to busy but lively enough for our relaxing week. Buses are cheap and frequent to visit the rest of the island. Spa was great we had a massage from vasilis and Eva which was incredible Only downside is holiday makers securing sunbeds the night before...only one couple but we always found a sunbed around the pool and on the beach Recommend this hotel

This hotel is in a great location, literally just across the road from the black shingle beach. One word of warning ~ the road in front of the hotel is shut in the evenings so you will most likely have to walk with your suitcases and baggage down the road next to Dorians Bar, which is a bit of a trek but you would do well to remember that you only need to do this twice, once on arrival and again on departure. We booked a ‘superior’ room, which it was NOT. The room was basic but at least above ground, the cheaper option is lower than the ground with very limited views! Our room had two single beds which, we found very comfortable, a dressing table and stall on which the TV was located and a mirror behind the TV (I’m 5ft and could just see the top of my head in the mirror). This had two very small draws and the bedside table had one very small draw and, ……… that was it! There was a hanging bar across a recess with a few hangers on and all the rest of your clothes went on a ledge just three inches up from the floor, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase or pile your clothes up on this ledge. There are no tea/coffee making facilities so we took a travelling kettle and an extension lead with a plug adapter which gave us 4 three pin plugs to use for battery chargers etc. on the plus size there was a full size fridge, safe in the room and air conditioning which they leave on 24/7 all at no extra charge and the maids are in every day making the beds, cleaning and changing the towels, great service. There are sun beds around the 2 beautiful pools BUT, all but 2/3 are concreted in (with a sun bed mattress on) but you can’t move them and they are not user friendly located and yes, you need to get your towels on the beds early in the morning. You can hire towels from reception €1.50 a towel. We had bed and breakfast and we thought it was excellent, they tried very hard to suit all nationalities and we believe they done it well. The staff were lovely and I would like to drop a few names here: Luke ~ night porter, really helpful and welcoming even at 1am. Joanna and Kiki on reception were very helpful and pleasant, always had a smile for you, lovely ladies and another lady that seems to work most positions but mainly in the breakfast room, I didn’t get her name but she was a smashing lady ~ thank you. The shop attached to the hotel sells just about everything, but they are more expensive than the supermarket just up the road. The ‘sea front’ road is a mass of restaurants and they are all good but our favourite was ‘A For Aketeon” and your really must give them a visit, the food, presentation and hospitality is second to none. You WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. The beach ~ yes black sand, it’s more like a very fine grit and we found it very acceptable, only sticks to you when you are wet but just one tap and it falls off BUT you MUST TAKE BEACH SHOES! The entry to sea is bloody lethal, it is solid lava stone which for the first five to six feet is slimy and undulating, the amount of people that slip over going in or coming out is unbelievable. Out of season the beds and umbrella on the beach are free but on the 17th July onwards they start charging €15 a day! I think that’s a bit expensive, especially if you are there every day for a week or longer. We had a lovely time, probably wouldn’t go back only because there are so many other countries we want to visit but definitely glad we went there.
