This is a dated ‘pine everywhere’ hotel but it has a good location and lovely views. It does need a bit of updating for example our shower wasn’t fixed to the wall and had to be held. There was no hairdryer. However it has a carpark, is right by the bus stop, opposite the ski shop and is a 5 min walk from all the cafes and restaurants in Chapel. If you want plush it’s not for you but if you want a cosy simple place to stay it’s a great choice.

Well positioned hotel in the town to access all amenities. Ski hire shop across the road about 50 yards from hotel and bus stops right outside for either direction. Rooms are good for ski accommodation and the evening meal is 4 courses although limited choice if you are a veggie. My only gripe is that the most icy dangerous place to walk in the whole of Chatel is the driveway of the hotel so from boot room to road is tricky. I will be enquiring if they have any salt today as am happy to spread it myself.

Myself and my daughter stayed here for a week whilst skiing in Chatel in the Portes Du Soliel area. A lovely hotel in lovely Chatel When we arrived there was no one at reception. It was like this most of the time. You help yourself to your room key by going behind the reception counter. There was just enough space for our clothes in the wardrobe, but , there seems to be wasted space without any hooks within the wardrobe area where we put our bags. The room desperately needed more wall hooks for hanging up damp clothing from skiing I was in the double bed and my daughter in a single bed. The beds and pillows were really comfy The room was heated by two radiators that provided ample heat and were controllable by thermostatic radiators valves. There were balcony doors that opened fully onto a long veranda shared with other rooms. The view from our room was absolutely fabulous , looking across the valley to the mountains There was a limited amount of electrical sockets that were not near any table or chair, so we had to put the footstool in the middle so that we could charge up items without them hanging unsupported from the wall sockets The hotel room was clean and tidy Outside the the hotel had short driveway down to the road. Right at the drive entrance their was a bus stop which we found out by luck . No one at the hotel told us about the bus stop. The bus runs up into town which saves you walking in your ski boots with skis. The drying room where you can leave your ski and boots is adequate but beware i had my skis and poles swapped for a faulty pair so security is not fantastic as anyone can walk in the hotel as generally there is no one around. I noticed another reviewer mentioned 'ski to door' . Well you could only do that if you skied from ski lift-gondolier and skied down the high street!! It is definitely NOT ski to door. "This vibrant, lively hotel is bottom of slope, right next to a main lift" It is about ⅓ mile away from the slope! Also there was no live music. I think he must have reviewed the wrong hotel!! Meals at Hotel Le Tremplin were FANTASTIC! Breakfast was a continental type with croissant, coffee, tea cereals, cheese, cold meats, scrambled egg and sausages and bacon Evening meal was generally a 4 course set meal affair with slight selections of the starters and desserts . The main meal was generally set , but we loved the food as it was so so tasty and French. The waiters were very friendly and friendly and happy to help us when we didn't understand the menu We would definitely stay there again as it is a great French quaint 3 star hotel with 5 star food Many thanks to Hotel Le Tremplin!!

We stayed Mid March and have stayed in various ski hotels in other resorts over a number of years. This Hotel exceeded our expectations. Clean decent sized rooms and excellent storage. Good location for ski bus. The best part however is the excellent quality of the food and the friendliness of the hotel staff. We will certainly try to come back to this hotel.
