I chose this hotel for its location and facilities. I am a single mother of 7 year old twins so travelling alone on a much needed vacation I required accommodation which was central, had a pool/garden, spacious room for 3 and good breakfast (we love hotel breakfasts!). HDN met all of the above. We stayed in the unrenovated room (budget restrictions) but the room had plenty of space and a balcony with the perfect veiws - so no complaints. The breakfast was superb, high quality and plenty of choice. It was walking distance from the center so we were able to avoid using the car. However I was disappointed by the approach of the management when I had to cut short my stay by 2 nights due to unexpected COVID requirements in my country of residence. I informed the management 4 days before our departure and was told it was not a problem. However on check out they charged me for the two nights I was not staying. The T&Cs were printed out and I was basically told "tough luck". What upset me is they did not inform me when I requested an early check out as this may have changed my decision. I sent an email afterwards which was not even acknowledged. Disappointing given the general positive experience we had. I plan to return to Chatel in December but will now look at alternative accommodation.

Dear Mrs Katy Thank you for letting us know how you feel about your recent stay with us. Thank you for your mail, I sended you ansver 6 days after your message. We are delighted to read that your holidays met your expectations. Nothing is more important to us than providing quality to all of our customers. We understand your situation and we wish you happiness and a lot of health for you and your adorable twins. We are sorry that your check-out experience did not meet your expectations. All our clients are subject to the same conditions of reservations, cancellations and modifications of stay. The conditions of sale are available on our website and sent with your reservation. We didn't know that you didn't take knowledge. Unfortunately we couldn't make a commercial gesture concerning 2 canceled nights in our establishment. It was the low season and the weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to re-let your room, despite your cancellation on D-4. It seems to me that the cancellation conditions are applied in most of the establishments in full mode. We have taken note of your impression and we will not fail to take your remarks into consideration, but despite all this does not remain a disappointment. We hope you will give us the opportunity to welcome you during your next stay in Châtel. I will be happy to offer you a special price. Renewing my sincere regrets and looking forward to welcoming you again, please accept, Dear Madam, the expression of my best feelings. Cordially Karolina Trincaz

Very happy I chose this hotel, the location is excellent close to the centre, most of the rooms have been recently renovated and were very welcoming and spotlessly clean. The outdoor pool is great and warm, and located in the gardens of the property with fantastic views over the valley and a great sun trap to relax on a sun lounger reading a book. The spa with jacuzzi, sauna and an exercise bike available were great and easy to access from the pool (hammam not currently operational). Spectacular terrace to enjoy the views and a drink (quite pricey), welcoming bar area and large restaurant complete this great hotel. Would skip the restaurant which I found too expensive for what was offered but otherwise an excellent stay.

I was part of a group of 5 who recently stayed at Fleur de Neige for a long ski weekend. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, they couldn't have done more for us. I stayed in a triple room that had an amazing outlook over the valley through a huge window. It was one of the rooms that hadn't been upgraded, but it was perfectly comfortable and spacious. The spa and swimming pool are a very welcome addition at the end of a days skiing too! We opted for the breakfast only option and there was a lot of high quality choice on offer. In all honesty, i think the dinner option would have been good too, but there is a lot of choice nearby to explore. There is a bus service close to the hotel to take you in and out of town. The hotel is a 10 min walk into town and to the main Super Chatel lift. Or you can go to the church (also 10 mins walk) and get a bus to lifts further along the porte du soleil ski area. For the service alone, i would happily return.

We are group of 10 male middle aged friends and stayed here between 4-6 nights. We had a very complex booking requirement in terms on people and dates and room numbers and they accommodated us brilliantly. We booked the cheaper style rooms which were completely adequate and comfortable. The location is great - an easy walk down to the supermarket chalet lift with good acres on the way home. A bus outside will take you to the Vonnes lift for quicker access to Linga, Plan Dranse, Lindaret and Avoriaz. The food and service as part of half board was top rate. Pool and spa are extra bonuses.

We stayed here for 4 nights in mid January. Nice comfortable room, good continental breakfast, good bar and excellent restaurant. Didn’t need much else. The hotel staff are most welcoming and were very helpful, even organising our ski passes before we arrived.
