Wow! I've camped in some of the most beautiful parts of Canada and the United States (Lake O'Hara, Shenandoah Valley, Grand Canyon, the Olympic Peninsula), and this campground on Lake Esparron can hold its own against them! Virtually deserted in late May, we hiked in from Saint Martin de Bromes and got a lovely tent-only pitch overlooking the lake. Gas engines are forbidden, so the lake is relatively quiet. Plenty of spots to access the water for a dip or to dangle your feet. Clean washrooms. Very kind staff who tolerated me butchering their language and lent us a table and chairs for our campsite. From the campground you have easy access to hiking trails (the Pont Coupé trail in particular had gorgeous views) or canoe rentals. What you can't find in the camp store, you can probably get in the nearby town of Esparron-de-Verdon, which has a grocery store and bakery. Overall, excellent value for money and a wonderful place to spend some time.

Cosy and friendly camping on a beautiful spot in the Provence with owners who care! You feel very welcome at this camping. The spots are placed on etages and only the top 3 floors are reachable by car, the others, closer to the lake, are for tents. The camping has about 100 places, so big enough to have the needed facility's, but not to big. We will come back. Ps: dogs are not allowed.

Beside beautiful lake esparron. The Family who run the site are lovely . Has restaurant, pretty bar. Well maintained site with pretty flowers and lovely old trees. Tiny shop so we made sure we brought lots of supplies. Food in restaurant very welcome after a long lake paddle. We will definitely come again. Lily woolrich
