Nice b&b in a quiet corner of Montagu. Got very helpful tips and information from the owner. Thank you.lt is a change to be really welcome to a place. Breakfast is excellent. The only negative point is the bird sanctuary that you have to pass walking to the restaurants, it stinks to high heavens. Montagu needs definitely to relocate this „tourist attraction“

This is a delightful guesthouse in Montagu. The hosts are most helpful and the setting is stunning. We were there on a B and B basis, and the breakfast on the patio overlooking the garden was excellent. Unfortunately, we had to leave before breakfast on the second morning and, when the Manager arrived and found that we had left , we got a call on the road asking if something was wrong. Five star accommodation.Friendly reception from the owners who were kind enough to upgrade our room at no extra cost.Alternative option breakfast was offered which is a great idea.Parking on the street was the only concern.

The guest house was perfect for us. There are five rooms available and we took three of them, There were no guests in the other two, so we had the place to ourselves. The hosts were friendly and helpful - there when we needed something, but not intrusive. The calm back garden, along the river and with a pool, was very relaxing. It was a short easy walk to shops and galleries. Great hiking trails start nearby.

What a fantastic guesthouse. It's a home away from home. Our room The Pepper Tree Suite was very spacious, clean, nicely furnished. We also could shower outside on a small patio at the rear of the room. A big swimming pool in the garden, surrounded by sculptures, also in the main area you can find lot of ART, Martly and Hanno the owners, are very hospitable and book the very best restaurants in the area for you, they will gladly give you all information about the surroundings, things to do nearby and so on. And there are lots of fun things to do, rivercruising with pick-nick on the Breede river, Bottle your own "Methode du cap" (champagne) bottle, to take home afterwards. Go and explore winehouses in the area driven in an old vintage cadillac... Just beware you are staying midweek, as lots of places are closed over the week-ends We definately recommend this place, Also walking distance to all restaurants and shops. We had made a safari at Aquila Game Reserve and wanted to stay in the area for some days. We chose Montagu, a lovely village at the Karoo, and the beautiful guest house there, In the Abundance, run by Martly. Everything was amazing, a beautiful house surrounded by mountains and a river, full of beautiful sculptures by Anton Smit. Martly is the best host, gives you the best advice for the area. All the facilities in this beautiful guest house. A must if you go to Montagu!
