We booked a weekend away for a friends birthday. We ended up booking out the whole glamping campsite and we were all so very happy with our stay.

We were greeting by Garth (the Manager) and shown to our Glamping site. He was helpful and attentive organising to get us some wood and firelighter so we could light a fire at the awesome outside sheltered braai space.

Later the Haiko (The Owner) came down to greet us all and made us all feel very welcome.

The weather was pretty chilly but the comfortable beds and extra blankets provided kept us nice and warm. Each Tent had electricity and had their own coffee and tea station which was perfect for the chilly weather.

It is a beautiful farm with many trails to explore.

Highly recommend for any occasion!

One of the best self catering accommodation spots the Western Cape has on offer!

Merely a 2 hour drive from Cape Town and surrounded by stunning mountain views, vineyards, and green all-year-around open spaces.

Perfect for a romantic weekend away as all the units are equipped with combustion fireplaces, electric blankets, and fully equipped kitchenettes. A mobile hot tub can also be booked for your special weekend...

They also offer a variety of value adds for a family break away, or function, with their amazing undercover lapa area, picnic spots, fishing, horse riding, walking trails, swimming pool, and glamping camp site.

The farm owner, Heiko, is such an amazing host and will make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Can't wait to go visit there again!

To think of this as a getaway escape is underestimating the impact this idyllic farm will have on you. Hidden in the lush Koo Valley, it is home to a working farm, with endless offering of joy and peace, from fishing, swimming, hiking and horse back riding through this 20+ acre hidden gem.

If that wasn't enough, the luxury option of a firewood tub could offer you a breathtaking view just outside your cottage. In summer, there is a dam and swimming pool that could cater for all the lounging activities you may have planned. A bonfire situated next to a communal braai ticks all the boxes for a spacious and comfortable gathering with friends and family.

The cottages are beautifully decorated and fully self catering making your packing just that much lighter. There is also no need to leave the pooch at home, as they have plenty of friendly friends to collect sticks and play around with.

Your first trip will be the start of planning your return, a home away from home.

This weekend passed was so peaceful and beautiful.
It was the perfect breakaway out of Cape Town.

The scenery was magnificent and the animals on the farm was adorable. The cottage was pretty and cozy.

It was very cold outside when we arrived and so we made a "kaggeltjie" inside and we braaied outside.

Would surely go back again.

This is the second time we went to this lovely place which opened up only 2 years ago. We enjoyed it as much as the first time. Even if the weather was colder, it was fine to relax next to the fireplace in the cottage in the evening, to take the little boat for a trip on the dam, visit the animals with our son (chicken, huge pigs, emeu, black sheep, baby black pigs, peacocks, turkeys, ducks etc..). Some nice improvements were made since our last visit: The lapa now has a covered patio which will be appreciated during winter months, the swimming pool also has a slide for kids. There is a chidlren's playground with swings and the like. They also added a camp site below the second dam which will be great for summer. Very friendly service, always ready to help.
Try the nice locally made jams and the real fresh farm free range eggs. Wood and pine cones are available also at the shops, and you can order freshly baked croissants, muffins and ciabatta for the morning !

We stayed at langdam for a weekend. What a treat, Peter the host is amazingly friendly and so unbelievably helpful. For these two city dwellers who love animals, we were in heaven. Pigs, dogs, chickens, a sheep and just the best most tranquil surroundings.

The Apricot Suite:
Wow, it had everything we needed. Champagne glasses, pots, pans, over gloves a microwave. A gorgeous Victorian bath, lovely slightly challenging 2 headed shower. Gorgeous fire place, which warmed the whole suite up. It has a fantastic braai area outside, and you can ask for both braai wood and a bag of pine cones to be put at your suite for a very reasonable amount.

The farm:
It is gorgeous. There is a fantastic trail you can do behind the farm, Eagle trail, what a great hike. Pack snacks and water and marvel at the beauty of the Koo valley. There are animals everywhere, you do get woken by the turkeys and cockrals but it is absolutely gorgeous as you can carry on sleeping if you like. One seems to loose track of time here. The pigs are so much fun to watch. i do in fairness have the biggest pig obsession. so this was simply sublime for me. There is a great dam on the property ( you are able to fish here, however, we did not get around to it). There is a gorgeous lapa where one can braai too. There is also a beautiful swimming pool/ old dam. It is crystal clear. There is a lovely jetty to walk on or have a sundowner on, that extends into the dam. There is also a great little shop on the farm.

Possibly one of the best parts of the weekend, you may be lucky enough too if you are there in Lamb season, was feeding baby lambs. Tarryn from the farm next door, called Peter to see if he had any guests who would like to feed day old lambs. We jumped at the opportunity. Off we went, Tarryn is so friendly. We got given a bottle and went into the little field and bottle fed the day old lambs. Tarryn said to come back any time so we did the following day. We fed the lambs again and were then invited in for a drink for all our "hard" work. The people in the Koo area are incredibly friendly. I would ask Peter if Tarryn has any lambs if you get the opportunity as it was so much fun.

All in all a fantastic weekend. We will definitely be going back.

We've visited Langdam this weekend and had a superb time. There was a mess-up with our booking, but instead of just pulling up their shoulders, the owners went out of their way to fix it. Everyone makes a mistake from time to time, how you handle the situation says a lot about you. The units are beautifully decorated, well equipped and has everything you need. The communal braai area make this a great place for groups of friends that want to go away for the weekend. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Langdam last week and it was so amazing. We picked pears for breakfast , hiked up the mountain with dogs protecting us and swam in the dam.
The trip into Montague is one of the most beautiful drives ever and the whole area on the R318 is just incredibly beautiful.
Langdam was worth every cent. The hosts are wonderful and the farm is clean and neat. Do yourself a favour and go for a real farm stay.
Thanks Langdam , we loved our 5 days there.
