Detailed Reviews
An excellent stay at Abington Manor. The best service we have ever received staying in a b&b. Beautifully clean, lovely spacious room and a fantastic breakfast all included in the price. Use of swimming pool and jacuzzi also included but unfortunately we didn’t have time to make use of these. We will definitely return and will be recommending to anyone we know who visits the area.

The managers, Marisa and Richard, were very welcoming and interesting hosts. The 3 rooms for our group were comfortable with superb beds. A highlight were the delicious and generous breakfasts, cooked by Talent and served by Chantelle, 2 lovely fellow Zimbabweans. A drawback was that we had 2 people with physical challenges, which meant that going upstairs for 1 of the guests was difficult.
I can't comment on any other amenities as we were focused on our own wonderful gathering in this lovely guesthouse.

Had a wonderful stay at Abington Manor. Brilliantly looked after by Prisca and her team- amazing breakfast. The lodge is immaculate with a lovely pool and garden and is perfectly situated for walking to the beach.
Richard took us on two great day trips- firstly to Bloubergstrand and then to two vineyards. Thank you Richard for sharing your extensive local knowledge. We would definitely recommend Abington and we will be back next year! Many thanks

We loved this place and even extended our stay at Abington returning to Abington every evening instead of finding a new accommodation in the Stellenbosch area. Fishhoek was perfect situated, wine lands, penguins, hiking and downtown Cape Town near by. It has been renovated last year and the photos doesn't make it justice, it's even better. The room was designed in both practical and beautiful manor, with surprisingly dramatic view of the mountains (at least in our room Nr 3) Even though a guesthouse, it has several lounges and possibility to enjoy tranquility and privacy also those days when there were guests in most of the rooms. The early breakfast was an advantage since we made trips. Different breakfast during our stay, always tasty with both healthy and delicious. Not to forget, the owners and staff were eager to help out with hiring a car, suggestions of restaurants and interesting places to visit, suggestions which always lived up to expectations. The jacuzzi had some problem in the beginning of our stay but was swiftly fixed. We really recommend Abington Manor!!

Last week eight of us visited the Fish Hoek area to play golf at nearby courses. This is an annual event and identifying suitable accommodation always proves an issue. The newly opened Abingdon Manor proved an excellent choice. In addition to the four ensuite rooms we needed, we like to barbecue, which many accommodations either don't permit or don't have the necessary facilities. Abington Manor has everything we needed and Marcus even agreed to light the fire as our tee times meant we would arrive back late. We also had access to all of the necessary crockery and cutlery and tea and coffee, as well as the traditional rusks, were always available for all guests.
Surprisingly there was some heavy rain during the evening but the barbecue and the table and chairs, located just off the kitchen, were undercover, so the rain did not effect our plans in the slightest. Also, nearby under cover is a beautiful hot tub, ideal for muscles tired from golfing. A small outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by decking with loungers and sun umbrellas is also located close by the barbecue area.
The whole building has recently undergone complete refurbishment. The rooms are beautifully appointed and there is nothing that even the most discerning guests could want for.
The breakfast, prepared by Marcus was excellent and wholesome, although after large bowls of his excellent porridge, I had little room for more then the odd slice of toast and marmalade.
Our group have plans to return to the Fish Hoek area for more golf at the same time next year and would love to stay at Abingdon Manor again, however we feel that when word of this excellent accommodation gets round, it will be necessary to book incredibly early to find just one room available, never mind four.

booked here for two nights and extended for an additional night. the place is quite new and clean and the swedish owners are very friendly and helpful. markus, one of the owners, greeted us warmly on arrival, and was always ready to offer assistance or advice to our many questions. it felt a bit like staying at a family friend's place--a great guest house experience! would highly recommend.

We stayed here in February so it was fairly newly opened. We would normally stay in Kalk Bay but had booked late so couldn't get any of our picks there. Abington Manor turned out to be a great alternative. It is almost like staying in a holiday home as opposed to a guest house. We felt very relaxed here. The owners have obviously made a big effort to make the place great. Location wise we found it very convenient for popping out & about (largely in the car though). Overall a small place with a lot going for it.

Our family of five spend 12 nights at Abington Manor and it was the perfect location for exploring the Cape. After a good nights sleep in the nicely renovated B&B, Scandinavian style, combining a relaxed atmosphere, great hospitality and nice breakfast, we were ready to explore the surroundings. It is as easy to access Cape Town, Cape Point and the Winelands by car as the 5 min walk to the beach. We highly recommend Abington Manor and hope we can visit again!

Fish Hoek is a quaint little seaside town, and Abington Manor is our favorite go to place whenever we are in the area. We had a generous self catering apartment, spotlessly clean and comprehensively kitted out with all amenities (my girls especially loved the fluffy robes!). A nice breakfast was served in the morning, after which we went for a walk on the nearby beach. Thank you for having us, we will gladly be back and we do recommend Abington Manor to anybody planning to explore the Southern Peninsula.

The host was very helpful and the unit was clean and tidy. Location is not beachfront and is amongst other housing. Secure parking and enclosure appreciated. Only negative was the bathroom was downstairs and bedrooms upstairs but was not an issue for us. Thank you for two pleasant nights.
