We had a lovely stay with breathtaking views in a comfortable, modern room. Leonie was friendly and very accommodating. The property is right next to the walkway bridge connecting to Jager’s walk which is a short scenic walk next to the sea to Fish Hoek beach.

Enjoyed our time at The View. The view from our own little backyard was stunning. Yes - there is a train that runs during the day, but we didn't find it loud It stops running around 9 pm starts up again just before 7 am. It's a short walk down the path to Fish Hoek beach and quite a few restaurants. If you want to stay somewhere within walking distance to Fish Hoek beach and Main Street, this a a great place. If you want somewhere secluded, you won't like it.

Our apartment was spacious and well maintained. It also had a fairly well equipped kitchen (which we didn't use). The bed was comfy and the bathroom was great with a shower and a big bathtub.

Judy was great to work with a very welcoming. I'm looking forward to staying again.

This property was described as a " Unique Magnificent Apartment with Uninterrupted View of the Ocean". But perhaps this epic build up created too high an expectation. We found the property to be tightly sandwiched between a main road and a railway, the latter described by the apartment owner as "scenic". It fact it's a regular graffiti-decorated commuter train which starts screeching and rumbling by at 4.40 am and gives several performances an hour. And when I say goes by it's about 15 feet from where you're sitting at your breakfast table. The uninterrupted view just happens to be framed by pylons and overhead cables. Meanwhile the noise theme is continued by the Letting Office which is next door to the Magnificent Apartment No1, as is a wee electrical pumping station that hums incessantly. All of which is a great shame as a big effort has clearly been made to ungrade the interior with big bathroom and a dose of style. However the props department got carried away with the ornaments - they clutter every surface from floor to ceiling requiring guests to be extra careful. Although the apartment was stated to have washing machine and drier it had neither of these mod cons. Nor did it have air con. So unfortunately our verdict is that while it's good on interior looks it's lacking in sleep quality and amenity.

The block of flats was built by my Grandparents The Hobbs family and I was born in what was the cottage adjoining the flats, which are now the 3 studio apartments, the block was called Tudor House. The developers changed it into holiday apartments I,ve yet to see & hoping to return from oz for old memories sake soon. It might be between the road & a railway line but it's position is unique....I remember how we couldn't hear ourselves talk when the train rattled past & how mother rushed to save her washing from the weekly puffing billy. But the view out front is sensational, waking to the sun rising over the Hottentotts Holland Mountains....the reflections across the bay of Covelly at night....the gorgeous ocean right out front, it's ever changing moods. The Jagger walk to the beach/Fish Hoek itself is wonderful with Skeleton Pool to take a dip in....the long expanse of beach with waves rolling in & now safe swimming thanks to shark nets makes it even better. As a child I remember a whale that would visit every year to calf right off our cottage.....it is sometimes noisy but that has endeared the memories to me......if u can overlook the occasional train & possible traffic noise....the pluses are so worth it...take ear plugs for a better sleep too....I will write a further review after our visit nxt Feb.....50odd yrs on....

Three apartments were secured with a deposit in Aug 2019 for travel and stay in Dec 2019. Deposit received by Rooms of Africa and transferred to SunnyCove. Melissa ( SunnyCove) had confirmed and no issues after receiving the deposit and confirming all is secure for our stay. Upon requesting a cot for the baby the end of Nov she said but it is already booked for another family!. She promised to refund the deposit within that week. Two weeks later, nothing. She ignores phones calls and has not responded to the lawyers letter of demand.
Rooms of Africa has responded and confirmed the deposit was paid to Melissa.
This is totally unprofessional!

We had a wonderful stay at The View !

It has a great position over looking the False Bay and beautifully sheltered from the south Easter wind .

The accommodation was comfortable , spacious and welcoming . The deck was lovely and spacious .The full package DSTV was also a treat !

It was great to be able to walk to the beach for a swim and enjoy the marvellous fresh sea air.

The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom had a good shower .

The staff were friendly and accommodating .

Will definitely return !

Absolutely stunning! Great room, great cleanliness , great staff.
Has security staff on at night.
What a view!!!!!!
Being woken up early by the train was worth it to go to sleep with balcony doors open so we could hear the ocean. Apartments have security gates on doors so it is safe to leave doors wide open and sleep with the sound of waves just meters away. Close doors and curtains to avoid being woken by first morning train.
Totally worth every single penny!!
Will definitely stay here again!!!

In Fish Hoek along the catwalk overlooking the bay, this is a wonderful place to wake up too in the morning. These self catering apartments are well appointed, exceptionally clean and even offer cleaning ladies which was over and above our expectations. They even offer night guards who look after the apartments and the vehicles at night. Our host Melissa was professional and friendly and we will definitely make this a regular destination.

We spent 17 days and stayed in apartment 2.It is one of 2 with a garden and was very sheltered from the South Easter, Melissa and her staff were very obliging and helpful. One of the few places I have visited with full DSTV and free wifi. The view is superb and all amenities very close.Another big plus is serviced daily with clean towels.I highly recommend this establishment now that it is under new management and units being upgraded all the time.
