My family and I can’t say enough about Pousada Atobá. The rooms are spotless clean (Thank you Thaís) and very comfortable. All the staff is very friendly and are always ready to help you with a smile (Mr Jeroã e Ana Paula). Breakfast made me gain a few extra pounds because I could not resist the amazing food Dona Claudia makes every morning (got to try Crepióca and Dolce de Leite Cake). Also big thanks to Narciso e Laine. Congratulations to dona Lúcia for such a special place. It was a pleasure staying there our first visit to this paradise and we will be back. 👍
Pousasa Atoba is located on a mild hill. It is at walking distance of the cachorro beach (15 mins), the bodró beach (40 mins) and the port (30 mins). The nearest bus station is at 10 mins walking. The best part of your staying here is breakfast, always different with a choice of different fruit, juices, cakes and a cook ready to prepare tasty tapioca or omelettes. On the odd side, the room is very tiny with no proper place for dresses. If you are staying more than 5 days it is hard to leave the room in order. The staff is very nice (maybe with the exception of the owner who looks a bit grumpy). No one speaks English, but this applies more or less to the whole island. The room was clean, but not spotless.
My wife and I had a great stay here. The staff were excellent, the room was clean, and the location was great and made heading for a restaurant on foot easy. The room was a little on the small side, but nothing too bad. The great service and more helped make it an awesome stay on this amazing island.
Fernando de Noronha is a wonderful place with many challenges if you do not speak Portuguese. Although staff at Pousada Atoba does not speak English, yet every other aspect of the Pousada is very good. Rooms are clean, TV has good reception, wifi is "ok", (true all over the island) , breakfast was much better than expected. We had booked a boat tour the dat we were leaving, the tour ended at 2 pm. Checkout is at noon. Pousada Atoba held our luggage AND allowed us to shower and freshen up before our return flight. This was HUGE! Thank you Pousada Atoba!
Fernando de Noronha is an eco-tourism island off the northeastern coast of Brazil. It's a lovely place for scuba, surfing, hiking, and a laid-back atmosphere. It's also pretty expensive, since they hit you for lots of tourism taxes and fees, plus all consumer goods (from beer to gasoline to spaghetti) are shipped in, and so everything is pricey. There are no luxury hotels on the island, it's all pousadas and hostel-type accommodations. Atoba is one of the better pousadas. Simple rooms, clean and relatively new. Breakfast is included. Prices may seem a bit high, but are within the norms for similar accommodations. They offer a weak and intermittent wifi -- so you can occasionally get online, and courteous staff. The island is tiny, you can walk to most places you'll want to go, or rent a motorcycle or dune buggy if you want to go to the other end of the island. I'd stay there again, although most of the pousadas seem pretty interchangeable, so I might try another place.…
