Outstanding meals: Ceviche, Moqueca. Big variety of tasty caipirinhas.Kiwi Caipirinha is a Top 3 Caipi. The view to the bay and the landscape and the building itself is beautiful. The service people are very friendly and helpful. Perfect for lunch and dinner. Reservation is recommended.
The best Pousada in Fernando de Noronha. Just 5 minutes from he airport. If you want to be in the center of the island this is not the place. The island is not big so the location doesn't matter if you rent a buggy or a car. The bungalows are spacious and with an amazing sea view. The rooms are clean and well sorted. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast could be much better assorted and vary. The staff is nice and helpful but Be careful if you rent a car through the hotel, the price they list is not correct and you will finish paying more and being robbed by them or the car company.
Fernando de Noronha is a paradise and this Pousada offers you a killer view without the need to go out! Room: Very spacious and can easily accommodate up to 4 people, clean and has good amenities. Food: Breakfast and lunch were delicious! Staff: Very friendly, attentive and offers personal greetings! Location: walking distance to Sueste beach (~2mins) and the airport (~9mins) even to Baia do Sancho (~30mins) but a bit far from the main business street where restaurants and bras are located. Moving around: Hiring a buggy is the best option as not all the routes are walking friendly in the island especially when it rains and taxis have restricted areas. Expectation: Don't expect a very luxury hotel similar to what you find in big cities or touristic resorts. But it's definitely one of the most luxurious in this island. There are some fees you need to pay in order to enter the island (depneds on how many days you stay) and to go to certain beaches (like Sancho)..…
I stayed a week with my family and can recommend the pousada, as one of the best of the whole island. Nice service, good food and well trained staff. Price a little bid on the high side but worth the visit. Rooms are ok and the pool view, amazing.... The island is the best spot ever for divers. Enjoy. Peter
Yes, this is crazy expensive for what you get. At least $1k/ night for a bungalow, with the shower of a 2 star motel. BUT. If you actually care about that while you’re here... I don’t know what to say to you. I’ve been lucky to travel to amazing places around the world for vacations, and this trip was the most magical of them all. The island is EXPENSIVE by any standards, in no small part because it’s so remote and adheres to strict ecological standards - both reasons why you want to come here in the first place. Therefore, to gripe about the fact you don’t get the same amenities you would at a 5 star hotel in NYC is just ridiculous. The room is clean (I didn’t see a single bug here, maybe it was the time of year? Just a lot of friendly little lizards), the bed is super comfy, and the view cannot be beat. I mean, it’s BREATHTAKING. The staff, while not necessarily as polished as you might find at a more cosmopolitan hotel, is friendly and helpful. The food was a little hit or miss but on the whole some of the better meals we had during our 2 weeks in Brazil. If you can spare the expense (and the crazy long travel day to get here - took us over 30 hours to get back to LA!!), then GO!! There are few places I would return, but this is one of them. Panama, Fiji, and even Cuba don’t have the same sense of undiscovered adventure as this amazing place. OH!! If you rent a buggy, make sure you drive stick. Me and my boyfriend don’t drive stick (he was SO embarrassed by this haha) so we had to return our buggy for an SUV, one of the few cars you can rent on the island. But if you can manage a stick, go for it. We were jealous of all the buggy’s driving around like rugged little toys!…
