Back to Fernando de Noronha, my favorite place in Brazil, and so glad I stayed at Maria Bonita. Beautiful decor, fantastic breakfast (best tapioca!), very central but more importantly the staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and very kind. They have the best recommendations, making my trip just the best I could have had! Thank you galera!!! 😍🙏🏻 Ate a próxima! 🏄🏻♀️
You can sort of see from the first photo that the pool is a little cloudy...that is sort of indicative of my whole experience there. The best thing about it was the int ernet. I had to log in about 20 times each day, which was a pain in the tail. The rooms are quite small, and dark, similar to an alpine lodge. I think this place is owned by a well-known Brazilian celebrity, and was sort of completed on the cheap, but with a facade that looks sort of nice...you certainly get the feel that Fernando is a developing tourist area with insufficient water, electricity, internet...but the beaches are great...I stayed in a couple of hotels that were a bit further out of town and offered more quiet and more privacy.
When booking the pousada we expected to land on a quiet hotel in the middle of the nature of the island. We were very surprised to see that the pousada is actually located between what is a parking lot, the main road of the island and 2 very noisy building work. On our first morning we were awoken by the work next to our room and complained to the hotel. We could not even have breakfast outside because of the noise The staff offered to relocated us to another room or another lower priced pousada. The swimming pool is just pointless because the garden is so small. The staff, breakfast, and rooms are good but nothing in comparison of what you would expect from a 600$/night hotel.
The beaches at Fernando de Noronha are gorgeous but this is still a developing island off the coast of Brazil. In the middle of this development lies the Maria Bonita, an oasis of a hotel that is full of charm and perfect in every way. Breakfast in the morning and tea during the late afternoon are wonderful. The staff are helpful and stand ready to assist in making your stay comfortable and memorable,
Really comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and resourceful, well prepared and welcoming staff!! Cant wait to come back!!! The rooms are super equiped, with huge bad, monster TV and great higiene produts (including salon quality hairdryers).
