#9 of 35 hotels in Gallipoli

Al Pescatore**** Hotel & Restaurant, housed in a 17th ancient building, is shining again in its everlasting beauty after a long period of renovation.

The building enjoys a strategic position in the historical centre of Gallipoli giving everybody the opportunity to satisfy all kind of requirements and to fully appreciate the so-called "Ionian Pearl".

The 22 bright and spacious rooms composing the hotel, they all reflect our idea of simplicity and hospitality, but 9 of them, overlooking the dockland of the old centre, represent the perfect bond of sea and land.

In all our single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, finely refurbished, our guests can always have the privilege of waking up surrounded by a dramatic landscape and a nice smell of sea breeze.

Every room is provided with a private bathroom equipped with shower and hairdryer, telephone, LCD TV, safe, soundproof windows, minibar, free Wi-fi, independent air-conditioning and a rich courtesy set promoted by one of the most known wellness company.

In the hotel is possible to eat in "Al Pescatore Restaurant" open all the year round for lunch and dinner with waiting service and menu a la carte to taste our typical dishes carefully prepared with natural products and the most fresh fish of Gallipoli.

But the flagship of Al Pescatore****Hotel and Restaurant is decidedly the room "Giardino dei Monaci": in the morning equipped to taste our rich continental buffet breakfast and in particular the typical "Pasticciotto", in a simple and natural location, and in the evening is an elegant and refined Champagne room with suffused lighting , soft music, grandiose fresh seafood-trays and high-quality bottles of champagne to take a touch of class to your downtimes impregnated by the charm of the wonderful and sensual summer nights .

Not far from the hotel is possible to accede to the caracteristic and striking "La Purita" beach, an out-and-out jewel in the town with its soft sand and its crystal clear sea form which is possible to admire a compelling panorama on the old town centre walls: a dream from sunrise to sunset!

The location of the hotel also allows to arrive easily at the most emblematic and culturally lively places in Salento and to make a tour around the old town centres in the hinterland.

We paid £200 for one night to stay here. Horrible and helpless staff who wouldn't bother helping at all. They just sat around and basics weren't offered. We needed an iron and toothpaste and they said it was 'too dark' to get it for us..it was 7pm. What does too dark even mean? A complete waste of money and fraudulent pictures to add to the awful customer service.

The Hotel is in a lovely old building overlooking the harbour. The staff was very friendly, helpful and competent. Antonio organised a trip to Bikini Beach for us and Tiziana and Alessandra took their time to seek out the most convenient transportation to our next destination. The walls of the building being very thick, Wifi in our room did not work. We used our cellphones. The airconditioning could be a little stronger in proportion to the size of the room and the outside temperature in summer.

Good fish. When we visited. You had 20 sea rushing for 10€, although very small. The tuna in the pasta was alas over locked as too often in Italian restaurants )at least for Parisian taste). Book or come early in august as it is quickly full
