A family run hotel to a very high standard. Excellent local cuisine, flexibly catering for all tastes. Great location overlooking the slopes, easy walking distance from all activities. Ski lockers provided. We return repeatedly to this hotel, as the food, service and ambience are impeccable. The food and its presentation is outstanding and imaginative.

This 15-room family-run Hotel is located in Le Chinaillon (1.300 m. alt,), which is a part of Le Grand-Bornand municipality in the Aravis mountains. Just a few steps away from the ski-lifts and close to shops and some excellent bars and restaurants. However, you will not need these since La Crémaillère offers excellent regional kitchen for lunch and dinner. The restaurant was always fully booked (in February). All personnel was very friendly and service-minded. Guests were mainly French tourists, most of them with children. The Hotel was spotless clean. The equipment is typical for a french Hotel in the Alps. Rooms are not huge but of sufficient size with flat screen TV, very well working WiFi and a well equipped bathroom. Some are suited for families of 3-4 people. If you travel by car, I would recommend to find a parking arrangement since there are no parking spaces on the Hotel ground itself. There are parking lots along the street, but during holiday time, free space may be rare. This marvelous ski region seems to attract mainly families with children. Hotel La Crémaillère is especially recommendable for its regional kitchen and its friendly staff.

We ate here during our stay in Le Chinaillian. Lovely views from the restaurant over the mountains. Service was good. Portions are very big we both had a starter and main course but couldnt manage a pudding as had already eaten far too much. Food was excellant Would certainly recommend

We saw the available room in booking and called to ask if there is a possibility to have a supplementary bed as we were 3... The answer was: "Nothing is available... Tu me fais chier, merde..." ...and hang up the phone... I'm afraid to imagine to be in front of this man...

A fantastic, small family run hotel located virtually on the ski slopes with rooms looking out on the slopes. Beautifully kept with lots of traditional touches. Lovely rooms with super lighting so you can actually read in bed. The food is wonderful. Huge, self service breakfast with everything so fresh and regularly replenished. We had outstanding table d'hote evening meals which were beautifully presented , very varied and typically French. I have never had set menus of this quality- as good as any top restaurant. Never stayed in summer but a great location for walking or exploring the Alps. This hotel ranks amongst my favourites and I have stayed in some of the world's top hotels.
