Mr. Kahawa

Mr. Kahawa

Such a beautiful stay in Paje🌴 accommodation was absolutely perfect and spotless. Perfect location with direct beach access made it so easy to enjoy both the pool and beach. Pool facilities were immaculate with very attentive outdoor groundskeeping staff keeping the area clean and tidy. Delicious morning breakfast and coffees as well as very fresh buffet options such as pancakes and fruit. Also special mention to the adorable and friendly local stray cats and dogs that roam near the property ❤️

Cozy and stylish small hotel with amazing breakfast and very friendly staff.

We started our Zanzibar adventure at the Northern part - Nungwi Beach and thought that it was the best part of the island, but after we moved to Mr. Kahawa on Paje beach, we regretted that we didn't do it earlier.
Since I like jogging on the beach in the morning, Paje was just perfect for that, beautiful sunrise, endless straight beach, in the morning we always had high tide and the water was just perfect for swimming. (this was almost impossible on Nungwi, as the tide was too high and you couldn't go far). During the daytime water goes away, which was not a problem, since it is so hot that we normally wouldn't go for a swim anyway. For that Mr. Kahawa Hotel has a very nice pool and comfy beach beds.
The breakfast was just amazing, good coffee, fresh fruits, granola, avocado toast )my fav) and many other options... everything very delicious. The rooms are specious and stylish, I really liked the products they use (soap, shampoo, etc.) The only thing is that when we moved to the first room, we only had a soap in the bathroom, probably the cleaning lady just forgot to put the rest. On the next day we moved to another room and I could enjoy the products.
The staff was very helpful and the lady at the reception helped us to book our safari, thank you very much for that.

I stayed at Mr. Kahawa in November 2022 and it was amazing. All staff are very friendly happy to help when you need any assistance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's very convenient that you can spend your day at the breakfast room, pool, the restaurant and consume whatever you want and pay at the end of your stay.

I also went for a massage and nice activities organised by Mr. Kahawa. Thanks for having me and see you soon!

This is the most charming hotel in Zanzibar we've ever stayed at. The rooms overlooking the ocean are beautiful and well equipped with everything you need. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious food, coffee and juices. People who work there are welcoming and Gloria is just the best - always helpful and really cares about your stay! Will definitely come back and recommend this place to friends.

Lovely breakfast with an amazing view. It took away my breath every morning. A perfekt way to start your day. The food is very nice and the staff is very nice too. The place is quiet and we enjoyed having a cocktail in the evening just looking out at the sea and listening to the waves.

We had arrived here after a long day of tours and work. Once we reached we instantly felt relaxed. Immediately we were on the beach. The rooms were spacious and very beautifully decorated with all natural elements. The restaurant was really good and offered a wide selection of food. Our room was by the swimming pool, which was just perfect. By the restaurant you were on the beach, a dream come true. I loved the absolute serenity, the staff was very friendly and overall it was a great experience!

There was so much we loved about staying here - the friendliness of the staff, the beautiful coffee shop and delicious food, the views and overall atmosphere of the premises is fab. However, we had a few issues with the room - yes, it's beautiful, however, it needs some updating. The toilet was coming off its base, the rain shower didn't work, and the mosquitos were awful. The lofts are very open, and we were eaten alive despite the mosquito net. On the last night, our fan made ominous cracking noises and we turned it off as we were afraid it would fall. I'd still go back and stay nearby, then come to the restaurant every day! Sitting outside with a coffee or coke was the best way to pass the day, just watching the sea and the beach.

Mr. Kahawa is located in the heart of Paje where you'll find a host of kite surfers and travelers. The lofts are beautifully decorated in Swahili fashion. The staff was friendly, and the food was tasty. The only downside was the mattress and sheets need upgrading! The mattress was way too firm, and unfortunately I did not get good rest at all.

Best food we have had so far in Zanzibar and that says something as we have had some beautiful food.
Praws were cooked to perfection and presentation was superb. My wife had the beef stir fry and she loved hers too.
The restaurant does not serve alcohol but they are happy to go get you a beer etc from next door nothing is to much trouble.
The starter pumpkin with grilled parmesan was simple but delicious - one word of warning the desserts are enormous

Soul food served on one of the most beautiful bea he's in the world by a group of people who have a mission to make your evening perfect

Superb have and will continue to highly recommend this place
