From the arrival up to our departure everything was absolutely wonderful! (and we can be quite critical when it comes to hospitality:)) We were given an upgrade to a room on the 2nd floor with a big balcony and views of the flora and fauna for our 5 night stay. The room was very comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom had some lovely myrtle&lime scented toiletries of high quality. The grounds with private beach are beautiful, a lovely oasis-like small pool which was perfect to relax in, food and drinks were great, staff was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed two trips on the island from the excursion booklet which is in the room to read and choose from. On our last night they surprised us with a private romantic candlelight dinner set up for us on the beach. So nice! We highly recommend Mvuvi for your stay in Zanzibar. It truly is a gem of a place. Tip: if you book the turtle aquarium excursion make sure beforehand to discuss with the host and driver/guide which of the turtle place you want to visit. We didn’t know there was more than one and in the end we went to another one than we had googled and anticipated beforehand. Although the place we went was still quite nice, it was small, very off the beaten track and not located in Nungwi (which the booklet suggests) but near Fukuchani. We’re still not sure which of the turtle sanctuaries is considered ‘the best’ one to go.…
We fully recommend the Mvuvi Hotel. We spent 2 weeks in August with our 3 teenagers. It is a confidential, authentic very charming hotel. The personnel is just perfect, really attentive to us feeling happy and relaxed. The hotel sits right on the beach with its incredible white sand and turquoise ocean. Nice restaurant on the beach as well. Food is really good. Excursions are proposed via the hotel we tried some of them which were really worth it. Try the massages as well, really cool! Life was just simple and relaxing in this little paradise on earth, and Carolina and her team are absolutely delicious as well.
We went to Mvuvi in July it’s small but so nice. We loved it and the beach is just beautiful. Grace is very helpful. Only thing is they don’t have to much to drink. They have a drink menu but are out of all the alcohol. But just coming back from Covid I understood why they were not stocked up.
Amazing place right on the beach. Fantastic restaurant with great food, but the view from it while drinking cappuccino in the morning watching the sun rise... simply amazing. Lovely little, charming pool to cool off.
The food was good and the service was great. We really recommended this place. The pasta, soup and beef was very tasty. The price was good. The staff is nice and the manager is very friendly. The sunbeds are comfortable and the beach is also beautiful.
