We and our Parents were privileged to spend our Christmas at the Podica River Cottages. We enjoyed the peaceful bush atmosphere. The sound and the view of the Palala River was absolutely wonderful and tranquil. The Cottages were well equipped and comfortable. Thumbs up for the hammock chairs under the trees at each Cottage. The outside shower was a pleasant experience. We were also lucky to see some animals in the close vicinity of the Cottages. Thanks to Edmar and Marinette for ensuring that we had a pleasant stay. We can highly recommend the Podica Cottages and we can't wait to visit again. Thank you!!

We had a fabulous stay in one of the Podica cottages in Jembisa over New Year. Very comfortable, with good facilities. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful! Would highly recommend it and we look forward to going back for another Safari trip soon. Thank you Jembisa!

Wonderful place really relaxing and the sounds of the river make waking up every morning worthwhile, you can take a walk to the river and experience the peace and quite. The cottages are amazing and the outdoor shower is just out of this world.

I visited samia cabin for 4 nights to get away from the madness that is Johannesburg. The place offers a great escape from the rat race. I enjoyed the wooden deck for breakfasts and dinners offering splendid scenery views, birds chirping and crickets in the bushes. There’s no technology around and it helps if one is seeking a proper escape from everything. The rooms are spacious and have mosquito nets in place. My only suggestion is to have an aircon in the bedrooms and in the lounge. The cabin is wooden and gets rather warm in the afternoon and late afternoons. Be careful with a low riding car as the dirt road can become a bit tricky to navigate through but is driveable. A bit more sand over the rocky parts would solve this issue.

Both the scenery and the sounds of the roaming wildlife are definitely conducive to recharging one’s batteries and we are delighted that you enjoyed the layout of the cabin and deck so much. In a beautiful ,peaceful setting, Kingfisher is the perfect spot to relax or be as active as you wish. Bring mountain bikes to cycle the game farm, or hike and picnic by the river . The cottage is very comfortable and spacious , spotlessly clean and well equipped.
