We could not ask for a better time spent on our honeymoon than at Magari. All the staff were absolutely accommodating, friendly and professional. From going on a horse-back safari at Horizon, to having each of our meals beautifully prepared in a different location, to learning about the intricate, delicate and symbiotic systems of the wildlife, fauna and flora, to cycling and walking through the bushveld, to camping out under the stars - our every need was catered for before we even knew what we needed. Throughout our stay, attention was given to the finest of details to ensure everything ran smoothly. It has not been the first time that I spent some time at Jembisa, but it was my wife's. I have always told her about how special it is there and have been meaning to take her. This was certainly the best way to introduce her to this piece of paradise. Our honeymoon at Magari will be a memorable one and we will definitely be back, as soon as we get the opportunity! Thank you so much to the staff at Jembisa and Magari. If we could rate you with all the stars in the safari night sky, we would.

We had a wonderful time at Jembisa. They are super accommodating and go out of their way to make it special for the kids. Lorraine is very kind and makes you feel very comfortable. She even baked cookies with the kids. Ed made every game drive very interesting and also went out of his way to make it fun for the kids as well as for parents. The meals were very good and the location for each meal was excellent with the best views and atmosphere. All and all wonderful trip. Thank you to all the staff at Jembisa. We had a lovely time.

Thank you so much for such a lovely review. Being a family friendly reserve and lodge, we focus on making the whole bush safari experience fun, informative and interesting for both adults and children alike. Meals served at different locations around the reserve enable our guests to enjoy our delicious cuisine whilst at the same time experiencing our natural surrounds and freely roaming wildlife. We are so happy that the children enjoyed the cookie baking and game drives, and that your whole family had such a lovely time here with us at Jembisa Bush Home.

I recently took our two young children to Jembisa for a father-sons long weekend. My wife had done the same a few months before and brought the kiddos to Jembisa—so I had high expectations. The team did not disappoint. If you are looking for a world class experience, and you want to avoid the larger, more commercial safari mills, Jembisa is the place to go. An individualized experience is the name of the game. We stayed at the main lodge, which was cozy, warm, and welcoming, not to mention beautiful and full of character. The staff were attentive, very flexible, and they treated the boys like family. The food was fantastic, and they were able to cater to two young boys. Thank you! The terrain around the lodge is varied and there is so much wildlife to see! My wife and I are already talking about coming back without the kids to stay at Jembisa’s separate camp overlooking the Palala River. Absolutely stunning views to be had from all over the area. I cannot rave about the staff enough. They’re top notch, knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make your experience a memorable one.
