This place is magical. As one would expect on a 7,500 acre private reserve in the Waterberg UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, wildlife viewing was brilliant - giraffes, hippos, warthogs, all of the antelope species you would expect, birds and butterflies abounding. And no Big 5 (apart from the odd leopard passing through the area) means that it's entirely safe to camp...

A real sense of staying in a family home in the bush. Beautifully decorated, very attentive staff, top quality sheets and pillows (which I think is very important!). A fantastic place and words nor pictures can do it justice. Delicious food which we never had in the same place twice. Last morning was by the river - amazing!

An exceptionally beautiful home with welcoming staff who made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Lunch on the viewing platform was spectacular. Our room was beautifully appointed with views over the garden. Highly recommend Jembisa for a family or small group reunion.

I've just taken a group of twelve to Jembisa for the third year running. The unanimous agreement was that it was, 'Fantastic!' We were treated to champagne as the sun set over the African bush, had breakfast by the river and climbed down an escarpment to find bushmen paintings. We also watched hippo, played tennis and swam in the pool....

My wife and I plus our 3 children (10, 7, and 4) just spent a magical weekend at Jembisa. We've visited nearly a dozen game lodges and our Jembisa experience ranks at the top. The primary reason for our positive experience was Steven, our game guide (although the lodge and its staff are also wonderful). His knowledge of the bush,...

As advertised this is not a Big 5 experience, but just as much fun. My family had a great time being out in the bush, on walks, bikes, and drives (including at night, highly recommended). Thank you to Ed in particular whose knowledge and enthusiasm was fabulous. It was slightly disappointing not to do horse-riding (a payable extra) as we...

Thank you very much for your review. Good to hear that you enjoyed the night drive game viewing so much. Generally the horse riding option is available, but unfortunately the horse safari outfit had temporarily closed while you were here. It is about to reopen. Thank you for recommending us so highly and we hope to see you again.
