We have been on quite a few Safari trips now in South Africa. This is by far the most welcoming and an amazing experience. Guests are treated like royalty by the staff, makes you feel really special. The accommodation is amazing, such comfy beds and so spacious, we stayed in a three-bedroom lodge, which was super comfy and luxurious. The main lodge where they serve food is so comfortable and welcoming. The food is incredible, and they accommodated my vegan and gluten-free dietary requirements so well. All the staff are so friendly, smiley and professional. Our game driver, Mike was so knowledgeable and a top chap!! we would highly recommend this Safari camp. Thank you so much!!

Nice camp with nice managers and guides. Food very good and nice rooms. game viewing not great, in fact was quite poor although it was interesting to see our first Jamesons red rock rabbit. Scenery was outstanding. One thing left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth and that was that we were charged for our sundowner drinks on the game drives. They have always been included in the cost of the game drives.
Overall, I would recommend this camp and I hope that your dream to run a fishing charter boat comes to fruition.

We were a family group including young children. The camp is very beautiful and there was an activity room for the children between the safari rides. We saw many animals, some from quite up close, and the guides were to thank for locating them. The (kosher) food was very tasty (a bonus for the kosher traveller) and the boma night quite fun. The staff was professional and understanding of the need for small children to run around. The kids were almost sorry that it was our first stop as it set a very high bar for the rest of our travel in South Africa.

This is an amazing family camp in the Welgevonden Game Reserve.

We were warmly welcomed by the Tintswalo team upon arrival. The lounge and outdoor deck areas are beautifully decorated with ample space to relax and enjoy the wonderful views .

There is a pool which overlooks the mountains and a lovely boma area.

The 2 bedroomed suite is beautifully decorated and extremely spacious with large relaxing deck areas.

The cuisine was lovely and the service was excellent. We had a great game drive experience and boma night dinner.

Thank you to the Tintswalo team for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

The lodge is designed to make families feel at home with family suites, play rooms, kids’ activities, and kids’ meals. Children of all ages are welcome and babysitters are also available. Staff are great with kids and it was heart-warming to see the young kids getting excited about wildlife. The game-viewing is amazing too. See my detailed review on my blog. Link in profile.

We had an amazing time. The host Jeantelle was so nice and helpful, the game drives with Mike were great, we saw and learned so much from him, the ladies in the kitchen baked sooo delicious cookies and cooked so good. The rooms were really nice and very clean, thanks to the cleaning crew.
We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived there.

Situated in the magnificent Welgevonden Reserve, Tintswalo Waterberg is a gorgeous lodge with views that go on forever. I suppose you could say that of many lodges. What makes Tintswalo Waterberg exceptional are the incredible team catering to your every need. The staff are fantastic - kind, friendly, accommodating and hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We had fabulous game viewing, led by experienced, knowledgeable, interesting and very entertaining guides. The food was delicous (be warned, you will eat far too much), and my daughter's severe gluten intolerance was catered to with so much care and concern. The rooms were gorgeous, comfortable and well-appointed with everything you could possibly need. We loved every minute of our weekend and made wonderful memories.

Everything about our experience was magical. The host contacted us a week in advance to ask about the children's eating preferences, which was a great help. She was available to answer any questions on the weather, laundry services, baby-sitting. I was able to plan throughly, once we arrived, we really just relaxed. The staff are amazing and helpful, really one of our favorite holidays. If you have a young family and love the bush, definitely the place.
