I booked a room at Old Oak Manor for a short weekend away, for my boyfriend's birthday. It was an amazing room as we had the "honeymoon" suite, which is the loft of the entire restaurant. It was very hot and the aircon is not very effective, and the noise from the restaurant does travel up a bit. Apart from that, the room was amazing, and so spacious - it was essentially an apartment, with a mini fridge dining table and little lounge area. I booked for a romantic dinner at Cafe Felix on the first night, and the food was really good. It is a simple rustic setup, with garden furniture and menus on chalkboards, and it was a lovely experience. A little pricey, but it is quality food.

The guest house was comfortable although more attention could be given to the basic rudimentary supplies. The owner greeted us on arrival but was never to be seen of again, basically had to guess what and wherefore we should ask and get items. The breakfast was very nice although consistency should be sought. May give another chance in the future.

We recently spent two nights at the Old Oak Manor and had the most pleasant, relaxing & enjoyable stay. Malcolm you are the most superb host and your staff were extremely efficient, friendly and competent. We must compliment you on a very well run establishment and the food at Café Felix was excellent and so well presented. We look forward to visiting you again and enjoying the beautiful ambience at your Guest House.

My husband and I got married at Cafe' Felix and stayed in the guest house over the weekend of the wedding. Malcolm, the owner and his wonderful staff were warm and attentive and catered to our every need with speedy grace. Malcolm was also fabulous at mollifying a terribly nervous bride regarding the wedding arrangements and went out of his way to make our wedding the most perfect day any bride could wish for! The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the ambiance that the restaurant gave was utterly magical. The food was delicious and as a chef i would know! I HIGHLY recommend this venue for any event as it's affordability and quality of food, service and atmosphere remain inmatched in my view. BEST WEEKEND EVER! Well done to your and your team Malcolm! We will most definitely be back to enjoy the splendor that is Cafe Felix and Old Oak Manor.

Very comfortable guest house a couple of minutes away from the restaurant, with beautiful landscapes around. Peaceful restaurant, with very good food (especially meet) and a wide choice of wines. Prices are quite low for this quality, we recommend that place !
