The Tea Trails experience is unlike any other hotel experience we've had before. Don't be put off by the "all inclusive" label. What this really means is that you don't have to engage your brain one bit whilst you're there. The staff are incredible, the...More

Ceylon Teal Trails’s Castlereagh Bungalow provided one of the nicest hospitality experiences I have had. Resplendent (the group that owns and runs the Tea Trail bungalows) is a somewhat grand name and the perhaps a little misleading when used to describe Tea Trails, this experience...More

Getting to the the is a bit of an anti climax especially after all the hype associated with this property. The entrance is not clearly marked if you are coming from the opposite direction one would normally. The GPS somehow didnt locate the property accurately....More

Did a factory tour with Bernard Holsinger, a tea specialist with Tea Trails. He was a mine of information and easy to listen to. Very amusing anecdotal and historical facts were presented with aplomb and the whole tea-making, grading and selling process was fascinating to...More

Not that much. Heaters are not required.
We’re planning to go to Ceylon for a portion of our honeymoon (in May 2019) and will be booking through a travel agent as it’s part of a larger trip. The travel agent has told us that we can’t book a specific bungalow, and can only give our preference but we’ll only find out if we’ve got it a couple of weeks before the holiday. Has anyone been told the same thing by a travel agent? We’re not sure what to make of it as it seems you can select the bungalow if you book direct through the Ceylon website, and it’s an expensive part of the trip not to be able to choose. If anyone has found the same, did you manage to get the bungalow you requested or did you get put in a different one? We’re thinking Dunkeld as our main preference and then Castlereagh as second - anyone have any other recommendations? We’d particularly like good views of the lake. Thanks in advance!
