The rooms and bathroom are neat, neat towels. Food and service at the restaurant is good except for the breakfast. If you are staying for many days, the breakfast can be monotonous. Don't take the corner rooms near the sewage pipe- especially on 2nd and 3rd floor.

Good facility, poor service. Not good, felt like staff felt we were a bother... especially Nderitu the waiter. Speaking to customers in Kikuyu and we didn't understand ☹️. Not too ideal for family maybe okay single or couples. Breakfast just basic, hard bacon..and the request is done through ticking a paper similar to that done in hospitals. not sure if it was sanitizer...same to the pen 🤔

I have now stayed in Maxoil for the third time in 3 years, and I must say the quality is still good. The bed was comfortable, and standard was just enough, but if you want more space you can opt for a deluxe room for an extra $10 a night. The breakfast served has improved and I found it better. One issue though is the highway noise, especially morning. If available, always request for rooms that face the Mount Kenya, and not on the highway side. You will get a good view too in the morning!

One of my best hotels. The bath tab is a welcome touch. Hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is nothing to write home about. Sleep quality is top notch. The rooms are warmer than outside. I highly recommend
