Recently stayed here for 9 nights in June. Whilst the hotel is older in style it is a great location just one street back from the beach which we could see from our partial ocean view room. All the staff were helpful and friendly. There is a water station in the lobby which was super handy to fill up water bottles each day before we went out. Room was smallish but wasn’t an issue as we weren’t there much during the day - the only criticism is that there is not much lighting in the room and it can feel a bit dark so it would benefit from an extra light. Otherwise we had a great stay here and would definitely return!
The staff at Waikiki Resort Hotel are very hospitable and kind and quick to come to assistance when needed. The only reason I wouldn’t return is because of the old, dated feel of the property. Besides the flat screen TV it felt like a hotel straight from the 80s. The shower was very small. Also there was hardly any variety to the daily contenental breakfast so it got old after the 4th day.
We are return quests to Waikiki Resort hotel. We always stay at the hotel when visiting Oahu. The staff and service is friendly and the hotel is in an excellent location. The hotel is value for money and the rooms are spacious and very clean. We Will stay again.
This room must be have the most fantastic view. The first night there we had fireworks (I think it was Friday) and then again Sunday night. None of the other travelers with us had as good a view!!! We loved every moment we had here.
Not a fancy hotel but location is awesome. Next to the beach, zoo and tons of shopping centers and restaurants. McDonald’s is right next to it if you’re on a budget :) … Conner at check in was super nice and very patient with a good sense of humor he made check in a breeze. Breakfast being included is a plus. It was ok they had boiled eggs, pastry, cereal, coffee, juice and fruit everyday I wish they would change it a little bit especially the boiled eggs. Room service cleaned everyday and left the room spotless and are very kind and friendly too. They have microwaves and the ice machine on the 2nd floor. Lobby has a water fountain which saved us tons of $ buying water bottles so bring a reusable water bottle to save the environment :) overall we are happy with the stay i would definitely come back again but I would get a room with an ocean view :)…
The location was amazing as it was a block from the beach and within walking distance of food, shopping, and the zoo/aquarium. They provided water and ice which was amazing, they also provided beach towels but you had to get them from the basement yourself. The hotel itself was overall clean, however the vents and tile in the bathroom look like they’ve never been cleaned as you could see layers of dust and dirt built up. The breakfast was very minimal as it consisted of toast/pastries, hard boiled eggs, and fruit. It was overall great, but for the resort fees that’re on top of what you are paying for the room it seemed steep for the quality of service/amenities.
It was our honeymoon, and all the people work in this resort hotel was soooo kind. It was the first time I visit United States, and I had great memories about this nice country. It was so lucky to stay here for us.
Good place to stay. One block back from the beach. Rooms were neat and clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Compared to the resorts on the beach this is the best value for money hotel we have stayed in.
You know that old saying “you get what you pay for”. What that said, for what we paid to stay here, I cannot complain. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was a little dated but who cares? The beds were comfortable enough. The location was perfect. A two minute walk to the beach. There are bigger and fancier hotels in the area but cost much more per night. I’ve seen other reviewers complain about noise at night…Hello!!! You are in Waikiki Beach! What do you expect?! You want quite?… Go to Kauai. Would I stay here again? Yes. Actually this was my third stay here.
We had a great stay here. We wanted a place to sleep basically because we were out all day, everyday. Beds were very comfortable. The hotel pool was small, but I didn't go to Hawaii to swim in a pool. The hotel isn't as upscale as some in the area, but was perfect for us. It's also within walking distance to shopping and many restaurants. About 1/2 a block back from the beach. We had a great experience here!
