We attended an event at the LECOM Center in February. So it snowy with highs in the 20s. The ability to walk from our hotel room to the arena without stepping outside was completely worth every penny of the hotel's daily rate.

We stayed in a two-queen room on the 19th floor facing the lake. Spacious accommodations and clean. And appreciated $18 valet, too!

I wouldn't recommend the Panorama on Seven restaurant.

Decided to grab a room last minute for a wedding we were attending in the city. The hotel and room was extremely clean. A nice touch was the seal on your room door before you enter, ensuring you are the first one in the room since it was cleaned and disinfected. As always, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and all Covid-19 guidelines were followed and enforced. Wveey stay here is better than the last. And you can’t beat the view from your GIANT windows in every room.

Once this virus issue is under control, we plan on traveling again. To test the waters, we had a one-night certificate due to expire in the near future and decided to take a one night stay at the Marriott downtown Buffalo at Lecom Harborcenter. A rather new hotel the facility is in excellent shape, an attentive staff and an extensive cleaning protocol we felt comfortable with our stay at the hotel. I give the hotel four stars instead of 5 based on the following items. I am a Platinum for Life member, normally they acknowledge your status when you check in with a “thank you for your loyalty” which did not happen. I asked if there was an upgrade or lake view room and was informed there was no upgrades but could give me a higher floor room city view which is odd because that is in my profile requesting an upper floor. Counted cars in the ramp reserved for the hotel that night, there was 18 cars. The M Club and dining was closed for breakfast and dinner and no room service at that time. I would like to stress this is not a fault of the hotel but due to the times we presently live in. I was fortunate to have a certificate, if not it would be more cost effective to stay at the Courtyard across the street. When we travel, we stay at Marriott’s paying the additional costs over a Fairfield Inn or Courtyard for the added perks and M Club lounge. As we exist today you get the same level of service at a Courtyard as at a Marriott, you make the choice. Would be nice if life would return to normal with all restrictions lifted and the Marriott hotels can again offer the level of excellent service we have enjoyed and appreciated in the past.

We stayed here in early October because of its proximity to Key Bank Center as we were going to the Post Malone concert. Our stay was lovely. The room was modern, comfortable, and clean. The service was friendly and fast. The view from our window was fabulous, it overlooked Key Bank Center and the city. The bedding was comfortable and the shower was great! It was a large, walk-in shower that had great water pressure. It’s nice to be able to take a nice shower and get a good night’s sleep when you are away from home. We paid about $7 for parking, which I think is fairly reasonable. We were connected to Key Bank Center so it was incredibly convenient. We did visit Niagara Falls in Canada as well and it was about a 30 minute drive. If we ever visit Buffalo and attend another concert, we would definitely stay here again!

Wow, what a place! Near the water, attached to the Key bank arena and clean as clean can be but...

I booked 2 rooms online, same date, same time but was charged different rates for them. I spoke with the on duty manager but was unable to get a better rate for the second room

Asked for early room availability for 1400 hrs and no room was ready, early check in is not guaranteed.

When we got the rooms, they were on different floors so my kids (they are both adults now) were put on a different floor. When we got to our room I found it was an adjoining room.

On our last stay, 2 weeks ago to breakfast was cold and very palatable.

I like the Marriott don't get me wrong, but for what you pay I would have expected better service. Staying here is an option and there are other options.

While being essential personal during COVID-19 (working for the USPS) the lack of restrooms while working had become an issue. I had entered the lobby greeted by a very polite woman working the lobby desk , asking if I could use the restroom she said the facilities were closed to non guests then proceeded to ask the “manager” who said no. This is tough during this time some professional courtesy would have been nice.

Side note I have been an BONVOY member for many years and frequently stay with the Marriott chain. I will be second guessing my accommodations after this event.

We stayed here for 1 night when we were going to see a hockey game. They have self park right under the hotel which is convenient and you can walk through the parking garage to a walkway to get to the arena which is also convenient! The hotel is newer so everything looks great. The room we got was a king with lake view and it was very spacious, had a fridge, safe, comfy bed and even a couch (which also pulled out if you need it). The shower sprayer wasn’t the best and the temperature had to be almost fully in the hot and was hard to get to a good temperature. There was lots of bathroom counter space for your toiletry bags. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but we did use the M Club lounge for breakfast. It had your typical eggs, bacon, sausage, plus some fruit, cereal and breads and juices and coffee.

We haven’t been to this part of Buffalo for a few years and it’s improved a lot as it basically used to just be an arena with not much around it. Now there’s a few restaurants and Tim Hortons, etc. We were able to walk to downtown to eat somewhere and then took and Uber back to go see the game (which was $7).

Overall it was a pretty good stay. Rooms are great, the restaurant is superior, and customer service throughout the building reminded us more of a Ritz Carlton than a Marriott. Platinum recognition is excellent. The only problem is the evening club lounge, where they only serve soda and water. If you want wine or beer you have to leave and go to the bar, but when I did that I was charged $46 for two glasses of house white wine, then got the impression I wasn't supposed to carry the glasses back into the club. What's the purpose of a club lounge if you can only go in there and sit and drink soda and watch tv? I've been to many Marriott lounges that charge for beer and wine, and many that provide it complimentary, but never one where it's just not served. Even the coffee machine was broken. I can drink soda and watch tv in my room. The breakfast service in the lounge is much better, but the evening service was potstickers, egg rolls, and soda. If the club lounge were different I'd give our overall stay a "10"

We recently did reopen it, and we have limited services currently in the space. Even though they were not offering the cleaning of the rooms -still due to covid- the service was good in the reception area and the restaurant.
The first day we missed breakfast by 15 minutes, and they were kind enough to take our order and not rush us. Dinner at the same restaurant was excellent. The view is very beautiful, service was good, and the food was delicious.
The hotel is well located, close to the train station and to a great walking area along lake Erie.
We went to a concert and a hockey game, and the hotel was perfect for that. We had covered access all the way to the arena.
I hope they follow the example of other hotels where the guests choose if they want the rooms cleaned.

We stayed here for two nights. Our room faced the water so the view was nice, but there is a bit of freeway noise. The room was spacious, and unlike some other reviews, we found the bed to be pretty comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and they were very prompt in fixing a problem with our room safe.

We parked our rental car here for one night. As of this writing, here is how it works: When checking in, drive to valet area on Main Street near Scott street. Take the elevator to the 7th floor, which is where the lobby is. Check-in as necessary. Return down the elevator to car. Drive around the complex, making right turns on Scott and Washington Street. Enter the parking garage near Washington and Perry Street. Drive into the garage and pay the attendant (credit card only) Park on levels 2, 3, or 4. Look for the elevators marked Marriott. Take elevator to 7th floor. Transfer to different elevator to go up to room. Basically, there is one set of elevators from garage to lobby and another set from lobby to rooms.

Hey Ed! Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed review of your stay! The reasoning behind our hotel layout is to ensure that nonhotel guests are not able to make their way directly from the garage or the valet area to guest hotel floors. We want to ensure safety for all of our guests at our property. If you have any further questions, please feel to reach out to Lindsey at lschneggenburger@shanercorp.com.
