A friend and I, visiting Niagara Falls, chose to stay at InnBuffalo based on the excellent reviews it has received. We were not disappointed. We arrived after dark. We were tired from our cross country flight. Joe and his daughter met us at the door. Our bags were delivered to our room, the Frederick Law Olmsted, located up a couple of flights of stairs. We were immediately offered a glass of wine and a gracious welcome. Breakfast was delicious, particularly the homemade scones. But, best of all were the very impressive and engaging guests at the table- what a fun way to start our day, getting to know one another. And, we were given a tip from a couple of women who had visited Niagara on the Lake and recommended that we check it out. They likened it to California's Carmel by the Sea. It was definitely worth the drive into Canada. We stayed two nights at InnBuffalo and each night we arrived back at the Inn tired from our travels and ready to relax. And, each night we were offered refreshments, including our choice of red or white wine. Our room was beautiful, clean, quiet and comfortable. Thank you Joe and Ellen for a wonderful experience.
This gorgeous century home has been turned into a stunning Inn ! We have stayed many places and this is by far our favorite. The family that owns it have poured their heart and soul into the Inn and it shows. They were so kind and thoughtful . Antiques galore with modern amenities like wifi Netflix and heated bathroom floors. The rooms are spacious and cozy at the same time ! The beds have high end bedding and they are so comfortable. The breakfast in the morning which is included is homemade and delicious! We cannot recommend this special place enough . The Csehs
We enjoyed our first stay at Inn Buffalo (in February 2017) so much that we returned for another visit in October 2018. Joe and Ellen have made steady progress in their meticulous restoration of the historic Hewitt mansion--it is simply spectacular, both inside and out. They continue to offer unsurpassed hospitality. On this visit, we especially appreciated the delightful company and conversation around the breakfast table. There were guests from Britain, Germany, and Italy, as well as several places in the U.S. Joe is masterful at fostering a convivial atmosphere. Besides offering superb accommodations in a great location, the Inn Buffalo is a destination experience in itself.
We stayed at the Inn for a girls getaway weekend. We were highly impressed with the rooms and the comfort that you feel being away from home. The staff and service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left were impeccable. We highly recommend the Inn for your future visit to Buffalo. If you love history you will love this place.
We stayed at InnBuffalo this week during our first visit to Buffalo. Another first - everything about InnBuffalo is first class! We stayed in the Sarah Dutro Suite - filled with charm and true to the late 19th century when this gorgeous mansion was built. Host and hostess, Joe and Ellen, could not have been more enjoyable. Breakfasts were perfect - delicious and perfect in portion sizes. The location off Elmwood was convenient to everything. A big “thank you” to Joe and Ellen for your hospitality!
