Oscar Wilde said, "I have the simplest of tastes. I am always satisfied with the best." I experienced the best in guest service without the pretension and snobbishness you find in some hotel/B&B establishments. It's about a connection with your proprietor and they understanding your needs. I stayed in the Wright Room, their largest of three rooms they offer. Unlike many B&Bs, the furnishings, lighting and many windows reflect an openness and a feeling of comfort combined with simple elegance. The Wright room is very spacious both the bedroom and living room area as well as the full bathroom (oversized bathtub/shower), and adjoining sitting area where you can relax with a drink or enjoy the complimentary coffee/tea (Keurig coffeemaker). Lots of natural light in this room from the many windows. The furnishings are a mix of modern and Asian/Japanese touches (framed prints, tea cups, etc.). They have various add-ons you can purchase including a Buffalo Bills package of goodies. Parking in the back (free), located in a tree-lined street close to Buffalo museums, parks, attractions all minutes away. Full hot breakfast is served (included in room price) , reading/relaxation room where you can have a glass of wine, read a book, meet with other guests. The owners Rob and Jen are a delightful, down to earth couple, with an authentic service oriented nature. They joined me and the other guests one evening over a glass of wine and free flowing chat. They provide guests with lots of local tour info., maps, restaurant suggestions, and more. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely stay here again.

A large 1870s house converted into a wonderful b and b. There is a small fee for an off-street parking space, but it was well worth it - the residential street was always crowded with parked cars. The building has its vintage charm, which was great. The rooms have high ceilings with tall windows with curtains. There is a thermostat to control the temperature, and the system was quiet. The full breakfasts were wonderful. The owners are friendly and can offer suggestions on dining and places to visit.

This was an exceptional stay. The home is lovely, unique, comfortable, and immaculate. Also -- these hosts can COOK! Breakfast was of the absolute highest quality - delicious, balanced, local, with personal attention and recommendations. Jen and Rob are so warm, they go above and beyond with little treats and details, it's just so clear they love what they do. The other guests were pleasant too! I would truly love to come back, stay longer, and bring friends and family.

Jen and Rob went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I can't recommend them enough.
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Oscars. We originally booked a suite on the 2nd floor, but when my husband had to have emergency surgery and was unable to walk up stairs, Jen was able to switch us to the Wade Room on the 1st floor. This ended up being perfect so my husband didn't reaggravate his injury.
They also were available and waiting for our later arrival. We ordered the charcuterie board for our arrival - highly recommend! It was overflowing with fruits, cheese, nuts, and meat. The local vegan chocolates at the bedside were also wonderful.
Jen and Rob were also very flexible with our schedules and made us an early breakfast so we could work on Friday, and a to-go breakfast when we had to get on the road in the morning. All the food was great. Chocolate chip cookies when we got back to our room at the end of the day were also very good.
Since we lost the spare room of the suite when we had to move to the first floor, Jen and Rob graciously set us up in the library and study so we could do our remote work. It was a pleasant experience, especially when their dog Jade stopped in to say hello! She is a doll and so sweet.
Every room that we were in at Oscar's was very clean and well kept. You can tell that Jen and Rob have a lot of pride for this place. I am very hopeful we can go back in the winter, I would love to see their home decorated for the holidays.
Jen gave us many recommendations for things to do. Their beer trail in their guide was a fun way to spend the afternoon, and dinner at Hutch's was outstanding. If you tell Jen where you are heading in the city, she can give you a good idea of things to see and do to keep you entertained.
Finally, Jen and Rob are so welcoming and friendly. When we got back later in the evening, they were happy to share a glass of wine and mingle with the guests at the inn, sharing stories and laughs.
I loved this bed and breakfast and hope to stay here again and again!

We enjoyed everything about Oscar's Inn. Jen and Rob are superb hosts - gracious, generous and committed to their guests' comfort and enjoyment. The inn itself is gorgeous inside and out. Over our 5-night stay we found the porch a peaceful retreat for a glass of wine and savoring the magnificent trees that line Linwood Ave. We walked to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and other fun places. The wineries of the Niagara Escarpment are an easy (and worthwhile!) 45 to 50-minute drive, southtown hills and state parks about an hour to hour and a half drive. Lots to do both in the City and surrounding areas. Breakfasts were artfully prepared and served, and a feast for the eyes and taste buds. We appreciated the minimal presence and use of plastic. Just a wonderful place we look forward to visiting again.

We recently stayed at Oscar's Inn in Buffalo on a visit to see our newest grandchild. Jen and Rob, the owners, went out of their way to. make sure we had a pleasant stay. Jen even fixed a special vegan breakfast every morning for my husband. Check in was a breeze and we were able to come and go as we pleased at odd hours as we traveled to my daughters house nearby to help with the baby. The historic house is beautifully furnished. We stayed in the Wade suite on the first floor. It was very comfortable and had a roomy ensuite bathroom. We appreciated the special touches such as the freshly baked cookies we found out side our door when we got home late one night. Truly above and beyond. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.

My wife and I have stayed at many B&B's and this one of our favorites! This was our first visit to Buffalo and our very friendly hosts were kind enough to serve breakfast outside due to Covid concerns. The location in historic Elmwood Village was perfect for the Buffalo Garden Walk weekend. Don't miss taking at least one tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House while you're in town.

We spent a wonderful day in Buffalo, NY including a gracious and comfortable night at Oscar’s Inn. We enjoyed a two room suite with a quiet and well appointed bedroom – thank you for those comfortable pillows – and the common spaces were likewise welcoming. Our hosts were warm and helpful, happy to share recommendations for walks, bars, restaurants, etc in the neighborhood. And they served a wonderful breakfast in the morning. We were sent on our way with a small coffee cake that we shared later that day. We hope to return to Buffalo to see some of the sites we didn’t have time for, and we will certainly make our overnight plans for Oscar’s Inn! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Wow. My husband and I stayed at Oscar's for the first time in early August on our way back from Massachusetts, and we're so glad we did. We showed up a little earlier than we expected but Jen already had our room ready and gave us a thorough tour of the entire bed and breakfast. This place is absolutely beautiful, from seating in the back to multiple sitting areas and a game room! We stayed in the BeeBe Suite which felt like a cozy one bedroom apartment with a gorgeous bathroom/clawfoot tub, asmall sitting room with a coffeemaker and TV, and the well-appointed bedroom. So many thoughtful touches from top to bottom but breakfast was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests. And their dog Jade is absolutely adorable. I could go on and on and on but this is a must-stay place in a must-visit city, and we look forward to spending way more time than just one night at Oscar's the next time! Thank you Jen and Rob!

My teenage daughter and I attended a concert in Buffalo this past weekend and stayed the night at Oscar’s due to a snow storm. This was my 4th visit to Oscar’s. Jennifer and Rob are always wonderful hosts. Breakfast is amazing. Likewise, they know Buffalo and are always willing to recommend places to eat, attractions to visit, and events to attend. They went above and beyond this weekend, clearing snow off of our car so we could safely make our trek home. Thanks again for a great visit. We look forward to returning soon.
