Experience the rebirth of an architectural masterpiece on historic Millionaire's Row. The Edward Hotel was originally designed in 1910 as a single-family home by E.B.Green, Jr. Over a century later, you can stay in one of its nine boutique rooms, each eclectically created to provide an enchanting experience for each of our guests. The Edward Hotel is perfectly positioned within the city of Buffalo! Enjoy walking down tree-lined streets to Elmwood Village for coffee or groceries at a local co-op, shops and restaurants, or a bar for a late night cocktail. Venture out a little further to enjoy a musical at Shea's Buffalo Theatre, a tour of the Buffalo AKG Art Museum or The Darwin D. Martin House Complex, all under 15 minutes driving time. The Edward Hotel is a 10-minute drive to KeyBank Center for a concert or downtown to the Buffalo Convention Center for a business meeting, and a 30-minute drive to Niagara Falls for a day of sight-seeing or Highmark Stadium for a Buffalo Bills game.

The Edward Hotel garners acclaim for its exceptional service, ensuring a smooth check-in/out and attentive assistance, although a few hiccups in communication are noted. Nestled in a safe and serene neighborhood, its prime location is lauded by guests for easy access to attractions.
Stylish rooms with modern comforts and a unique aesthetic charm visitors, who also appreciate the hotel's meticulous cleanliness. While some guests miss having more in-room appliances, the overall value, cozy beds, and eclectic atmosphere make The Edward a favored choice.

We loved the bed & the shower! There was a garment steamer in the room which was helpful. Starbucks k-cups in the room & a variety of tea in the common area was a nice touch. The virtual front desk contact was helpful with providing dinner recommendations & asking if we need housekeeping.

We had a wonderful stay at The Edward! The location was convenient and close to everything we wanted to do. The bed in the room was very comfortable as well! The host was very accommodating and brought us extra towels after we asked. I actually made a mistake on the duration of my trip for the booking and the host was able to work her magic to help us out. 10/10 (besides the cold weather lol)

Our stay at the Edward was perfect. Great location, great communication with the staff before, during and after our stay.
Clean, and provided for everything we might need. I forgot my expensive hearing aids charging in the room and they promptly called me so I could return for them. That was so appreciated.

The hotel is well located just off Delaware but if you are driving parking can be an issue. The decoration is over the top in the style of Madam Claude. The bed in the Kennedy room is very soft with a dip in the middle of the mattress. The sheets are not luxurious and the blanket was polyester. The bathroom is large. The water pressure is very weak. The floor is not heated. The plug in the sink was broken. Amenities are not generous. No tissues or body cream was available. The digital check in was not a pleasant experience for a luxury establishment. There is no breakfast or food available in the hotel. The most extraordinary thing was that the bed was not made and the towels were not changed because we “ didn’t ask for it to be done! “. There were no glasses or bottled water on the bedside just paper cups.

Thank you for your review, Gary! The Edward is a 3-star hotel with a price that reflects that. Your affordable stay provided you with a 450sq foot suite with a deep-soaking tub, leather loveseat, fireplace, canopy bed, foyer and wet-bar. None of our floors are heated as this is a historic mansion built in 1910, but the charm is worth the visit! We are not able to serve breakfast due to not having a restaurant, but we are only one block from Elmwood Village with a plethora of boutique shops, breakfast diners, coffee shops, grocery co-op, and bars. Our housekeeping staff is more than happy to service your room, but we do not enter to protect guests' privacy if they don't respond to the "Good Morning" text from our front desk. We hope you will give us another try the next time you're in Buffalo!

We stayed in The Chelsea room. It was small and dark with poor lighting. We couldn’t see outdoors: the windows in the bedroom were opaque, and the ones in the bathroom were venetian blinds that didn’t work properly. The king size bed took up most of the room with pillows that disappeared in the large gap between the wall and the bed. There were no chairs and no place to work. We had to unplug the TINY “mini fridge” at night to avoid the racket and bright lights that would have kept us awake. The furniture was gaudy to the point of being vulgar. The building overall was a poorly executed concept. Our one plus was our host, who was very attentive in trying to help us (virtually) in getting the heating to work. It never did, but we got an extra blanket.
We referred to it as “The Dungeon”.

Thank you for your review, Susan. We deeply regret that this was your first experience with us, but we thank you for your insight so that we could remedy much of these perspectives. We hope that you'll return in the future to find that The Chelsea room is more comfortable, has new lighting, and the LED fridge lighting is not an evening disturbance. Or, perhaps you'd like to try a new boutique room on your next visit as each of our nine rooms are different!

We rented two rooms: one is the Puritan and one is the Deco. It was the canadian long weekend and as a family of four we wanted to treat ourselves to a luxurious night — unfortunately the night turned into something we had to endure rather than enjoy. Outside it was 4 degrees C. Inside it felt to be about 12 degrees C. The heat was not working in both rooms. The hallways were cold. This place looks nice on the surface but the puritan room in particular was terrible. No curtains on the windows! So it was bright and freezing in the room. We barely slept and there really was no one to help and no one to talk to about this. We started our evening here with high hopes and left very disappointed. I am sure , for this price, there are better places nearby. I have requested some compensation from the manager but she says she’s not authorized — this to me — is another issue. We are used to be able to deal with a concierge who can assist, we really didn’t get any assistance (Eg moved to another room or a refund so we could have moved to another hotel — with heat!!)

Thank you for your review! We deeply regret that this was your first experience with us and that our heat contractor was unavailable in the late hours of the night. He has since given us additional training on how to maintain the split units in each room so that we can be assured that this does not happen again. We hope that you'll come try another stay with us now that we have remedied the situation!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, stylish, and modern! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! They are mostly hands off and communicate through text, but are fast to respond the moment you require assistance! You enter the hotel and your room via special codes given which makes it more comfortable for us introverted people. The hotel is very quiet so you won't hear the hustle and bustle of the city. The room was very large and just as stylish as the rest of the hotel! The bed was incredibly comfortable! Unfortunately there was no microwave in the bedroom but there was one available in the main lobby, near the ice box! However, any other amenities you would expect in a hotel room were absolutely available! The bathroom was also on the small side but it was more than comfortable to use and the shower was relaxing! My wife and I loved our stay! Next time we are in Buffalo we plan to book the Edwards again!

A small, exceptional hotel in a quiet location with extremely lovingly designed rooms.
The self check-in was well described and
The support via WhatsApp is to be emphasized.
Own reserved parking spaces directly in front of the house
The price-performance ratio is very good. It is highly recommended

We’ve stayed at The Edward twice and absolutely love it. Each room is different but equally pretty and the beds are comfy. It’s a unique, beautifully decorated boutique hotel that despite the very upscale look is still reasonably priced. The digital self-check in works very smoothly and the communication from the hotel’s front desk contact, Erin, is always great. The neighborhood is lovely, so if you want to take a walk, there are beautiful old houses to wander past. The Edward is our go-to location for stays in Buffalo.

We stayed one night for an upcoming flight back home after a week in Toronto. We went back and forth on where to stay, with it being Labor Day weekend hotel prices were all over the place. We finally landed on The Edward Hotel. We were so glad to have stumbled across this hidden gem. Wow, gorgeous property from top to bottom. Such attention to detail and all possible needs were anticipated. The contactless check-in and check-out process was so easy and staff very communicative. We were in awe from the moment we walked in at how beautifully appointed the property was from the art on the walls, the stars painted on the ceiling (my favorite part) everything was stunning. We stayed in The Puritan room and the bed was so comfy and left us well rested for the long day of travel that lied ahead. Again, the attention to detail and amenities were spot on. Convenient location, in a quiet neighborhood. On our way to the airport we even drove around the neighborhood admiring all the beautiful houses. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend The Edward Hotel to family and friends should we find ourselves in Buffalo, NY again.
