Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
We had a great stay here. The room was large and very comfortable. Everything was clean and fairly well maintained. The room had all the amenities we expected.
The only downside was the tub and shower. The water pressure was quite low and the tub didn't drain very well. Also the water temperature shifted a lot during our showers. From barely warm enough to extremely hot.
The location of the hotel is great. There were a number of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops within walking distance. We felt very safe walking around the hotel at night.
Overall, this is a hotel we would definitely stay at again if we come back to Buffalo.

I was going through town and needed a stop, booked on the fly. There are so many restaurants/bars within walking distance. As of 12 October 2020 the pool/hot tub are open, just require you to reserve a time window (45 minutes). The room is super clean and sealed when you arrive, and exceptionally comfortable, felt like a high end suite. Melanie behind the desk hustled her butt off for me finding a spot for dinner (Columbus Day, a lot of unexpected restaurants closed). I could not be happier with my stay.

When I went to check in I learned that my confirmed reservation room was given to another guest. There was not a similar room available so we were given a lesser substitute. The hotel and rooms were clean, staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast had most of the food gone when we got there and it took awhile before refilling them. We did get a slight reimbursement when we checked out.

Daydream710431, I am so very sorry there was a problem with your reservation at check in. We never want our guests to have an experience less that their expectations. I appreciate all the great compliments regarding the cleanliness and the staff. I will be speaking with the breakfast team to ensure they are preparing enough food to ensure no guest has to wait for food. Thank you for your feedback. I hope you will return again next time you are in the Buffalo area.

The hotel was great and the majority of the staff members were very helpful and well trained in customer service. My only issue was the creepy weekday breakfast area lady who went out of her way to harass families with children under the age of 14. She stopped my family before we entered the area to warn us "some guests do not like children" in the next 15 minutes I saw her approach 5 other families telling them to keep "your kids off the line" and that she was concerned for their safety because of the renovations on the original breakfast area. She spent a fair bit of time staring at children if their parents allowed them to get their own food. She also wiped down "the line" forcing a child to back up or be pushed out of the way. This lady made it clear that she was the one who didn't like children.

mrplantain, I am so sorry to hear that your experience with our breakfast hostess did not exceed your expectations. I understand how frustrating that must have been. We never want our guests to feel this way and we will certainly address the situation. I hope you will return to give us another try to see that we are dedicated to making improvements.

Our hotel room was dirty. The second room we moved to was found to not be clean either. Staff did try to correct the issue. The second night the hotel manager was on a power trip. Several people I had encountered had similar issues with either a dirt room or the manager.
Breakfast was by far one of the worst I have seen in a Hilton. The fresh cut fruit looked as though it had been sitting all week. The first day of breakfast the gravy and sausage looked extremely unappealing. I learned from a couple in our group later that ate it, their stomachs were turning later that day. With having two hockey teams and a dance team in the hotel they never made more smoothies so if you did not get their when the breakfast began you were out of luck. The waffle irons looked as though no one had cleaned them.
The pros: not all hotel staff was unpleasant. The pool temperature was nice. There are four restaurants that are accessible from the hotel so you do not have to leave (a Mexican, Subway, Chocolate Bar, and a Hot Dog place).
Parking is $10 a day and they do have complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby.
Construction was on the 2nd floor when we were there. Just meant that breakfast was in the meeting rooms.

Comfy, clean and modern! Staff was helpful. Breakfast was great. Location is great and I love that the hotel and neighbourhood is very dog friendly. The parking lot was fenced and gated so that made me feel comfortable and safe.

The doors to the rooms have a opening at the bottom about a inch so you can hear everything in the hall way. Also I was placed next to the elevator so not only could I hear the people talking and walking in hall. I also could hear people waiting for the elevator talking and the elevator noise itself every time it opened and closed and every ding.

I've reviewed this hotel before but its been over 2 years since my last visit here. I'm happy to say that nothing has changed here, this is still a top notch place to stay. The service and rooms are still excellent and I highly recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in downtown Buffalo.

Checked into our room to find what clearly appeared to be a masturbation area for the previous tenant. Lotion and a crusty hand towel right out in the open window sill. Called to complain, it waa disinfected and a small discount was provided. Then we started to look around more to notice our room clearly hadn't been cleaned at all since whatever took place prior. Food in cupboards, filth all over, dirty sheets, dirty tub, dirty cupboards, dirty door knobs, caution tape on the walls and tape all over the walls, dust all over. It was a nightmare. There were no other rooms to switch too and we had a wedding to attend with no time to switch or we would have.

Great location and hotel. Clean, complimentary breakfast was good. King suite was very nice. Within walking distance of many good restaurants. Parking on site was affordable at only $10 day. Should stay at this hotel again,

5 minute walk.
When I was there, the pool was open by appointment only. Your best bet would be to call the hotel. Covid policies are changing regularly.
