Detailed Reviews
Step back in time to the opulent late 1800's in what was Millionaire's Row during Buffalo's heyday.
Here the light pours through the tall windows into the 18-foot high, beautifully decorated rooms with exquisite woodwork. The bedrooms are spacious, clean, well designed and well-appointed. Common areas create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which to meet and socialize with other travelers. What a treat to have a full breakfast served to you vs. grazing through another predictable, chain hotel-style buffet.
The Manse also provides safe, comfortable transportation within a 2.9 mile radius in the hotel's Land Rover. As we were traveling by train, they were able to pick us up upon arrival and to drop us off when we left Buffalo. We were also able to walk from the hotel's great location to restaurants, historic sites and Canalside.
Most noteworthy, however, was the outstanding staff that humbly call themselves "butlers." They thoughtfully anticipated and accommodated our every need, and were a great resource for recommending dining and 'to do' options.
Should we shuffle off to Buffalo again, I would stay at The Manse on Delaware in a heartbeat. Anyplace else would only be disappointing by comparison.

We did an Anniversary stay-cation for a weekend here. The mansion is just beautiful. The entire staff, all of them, were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The free "Rover" service took us to a museum, picked us up, and took us to lunch. It was so nice. The fireplaces and pool table, bar area, etc. are just lovely. Nice spread for free breakfast. If I had one complaint, it would be the temperature of the room. The programmed thermostat kept going down and the room got quite chilly. I recognize it is a very old building (and old/cold windows) but we kept having to put the thermo up again, even in the middle of the night. Mansion is walking distance to several eateries. Overall, a lovely stay. We even got chocolate covered strawberries for our Anniversary!! What's not to love?! We'd go back again :)

The staff there is so friendly, we are in our mid 20s and they still treated us as if we were a king and queen walking in. They give you a tour of the place before entering your room and they walk you right up to it and take care of all your bags and luggage for you. I highly suggest this place. Not to mention it is absolutely beautiful. We brought takeout food and they actually took it from us and set up a beautiful table for us in the ball room. There’s lots to do. The jet bathtub is gigantic and so relaxing. That was my absolute fav. They do everything for you to bringing left over food at 1am warmed up, to bringing cold wine and basically anything you need right to your door. You don’t have to lift a finger. They also have a Range Rover that will bring you wherever you want to go as long as it is within a 3 mile radius as well. By far my favorite place to stay and the beds are so cozy for a good nights sleep.

Stayed 2 nights on a sightseeing trip. The hotel is fairly pricey by Buffalo standards (about the same cost as the Westin but rates are much higher than the Hyatt Regency at this time). Convenient location in the trendy Allen neighborhood along with free parking helps justify the cost.
In remodeling the property, no effort was made to retain or recreate historical features in the rooms, resulting in a pretty sterile shell. Others have mentioned bathrobes that my room did not include. There were no towel racks in the bathroom. Towels and washcloths were stacked on a folding chair instead. The bathroom included just one small bar of soap for both the sink and tub/shower. There was no refrigerator nor microwave in the room, an unusual deficiency. There was a huge whirlpool tub/shower connection. Water must be inexpensive in Buffalo considering the amount of water used to fill the tub.
The "butler" idea was not well executed. The butlers provided no more than the usual staff. The hotel could at least provide standard butler uniforms.
Citing Covid concerns, rooms are only cleaned every three days. I have recently seen this in Portland, OR and believe it is solely a cost cutting measure.

My guess is that this was once a fine hotel. But it isn't any longer. The ground floor is nicely kept and the breakfasts and bar drinks are nice and well done.
Rooms are dated, unkempt and just flat out gross in some cases. The baths feel very motel.
Service was ok. We found that it was very superficial. When we told the front desk that the wifi didn't work, they said, "that's funny, it should be fine." They did nothing else.
The cleaning, or lack thereof, is a problem. This hotel only cleans every three days, and that cleaning is just making the beds and putting toilet paper in the bathroom and getting rid of the trash. It just feels dirty everywhere.
I was told that everyone stays at the Westin down the street now. I understand why.

Six of us stayed at the Mansion on Delaware Ave. this week & all of us could not have been more pleased with this superb boutique hotel. The staff from the drivers to the manager, Melissa, all treated us like royalty. The addition of a shuttle service to nearby places made it easy to tour Buffalo without needing to drive. Breakfast was exceptional with various omelettes, fresh fruit, & a salad of micro-greens & veggies. The location in the Allentown area put us near easy walking to excellent restaurants. Our stay was a total treat because of the Mansion on Delaware.

This beautifully restored 19th century mansion, now a bed and Breakfast, is conveniently located very near downtown Buffalo. The building has retained its original grandeur but the interior decor is modern. We booked a classic queen room that was rather small. Breakfast was lovely and happy hour was an added bonus. We were fortunate to be there for Cocktails on the Lawn with jazz on the roof. It was a nice evening with an inspired graze board. Service was truly over the top. The Butlers are available 24 hours a day to assist your every need. Parking is available across the street. Several excellent restaurants are within walking distance or the Butlers will graciously drive you then pick you up after dinner.

My husband and I stayed here overnight while traveling to Massachusetts. The building is beautiful and the work done to maintain the mansion is clearly visible. We had a standard queen room and the room was spacious, although the bed seemed a bit smaller than our queen bed at home. However the size of the bed did not impact the sleep quality of the room. Good water pressure, nice bath amenities and soft towels were a big plus. We availed ourselves of the "happy hour" and chatted with two of the "butlers" who run the hotel and enjoyed a complementary cocktail and a glass of whine. For breakfast we were offered two options - Greek Yoghurt with muesli or a breakfast sandwich. We took the sandwich which was good and got us on the road. The location has some beautiful homes nearby (was once Millionaire's Row) and after dinner we spent time stretching our legs and enjoying the warm evening and interesting architecture. I would definitely recommend this b&b.

Our stay at The Mansion on Delaware was due to the eagles concert 4/21/22 which we were chauffeured to and from by their Butler Danny. There were three butlers to care for the hotel guest. Danny, Cade and Lucas. Not sure I can express in words how wonderful these butler's were. They immediately went above and beyond from the moment we pulled up to the hotel (Danny being our greeter) and knew what we needed before we could ask. Our dinner we ordered was picked up by their Butler Lucas. He wouldn't have it any other way. Cade took care of us inside the hotel. He was on every need immediately and consistently. They were all very personable and appreciated. The hotel and our room was a stylish antique-y vibe. Just beautiful. The chef prepared complimentary breakfast chosen fresh that morning was delicious. Yeah we would definitely visit this hotel and butlers, chef and all staff again. We were truely blessed with gifted servers.

I stayed at the Mansion a decade ago and it was a great experience. I wish I could say that about my recent visit. I was visiting family in Buffalo and we wanted a double room so I booked the Mansion (my last stay was at the Curtiss). I called ahead of time to have a small set up for my sisters birthday the night we arrived since I hadn’t seen her in 2 years. We get to the room- nothing. I went downstairs to ask the front desk if we could find a bottle of champagne at least and we found something after looking in a few places. The front desk agent was helpful, kind, and tried the best and I appreciated that we found something! Our first nights sleep was horrible: creaky floors and our neighbors upstairs must have been moving the furniture in their room. Housekeeping did a nice job tidying the beds but the second day we asked for towels and the in room coffee but never got them. We also left good tips daily. Our trash was never emptied in our 3 night stay and our old towels not removed. The butlers were receptive to every call I had to make but the level of service wasn’t anything above and beyond and frankly didn’t even cover the basics. The party “miss” was never addressed so we celebrated out at a restaurant instead. We did have spa treatments next door at the Buffalo Club and we enjoyed that. Next visit, I will go back to the Curtiss. It was disappointing but we made the best of it!

I’m not sure. We drove our own car to the hotel.
Thank you for your inquiry. Our event team would be happy to check availability for you. We certainly try to accommodate all requests depending upon other events happening in the hotel. We just need a little bit more information to confirm your request.
Yes, the complimentary shuttle service was fantastic as well. I agree with the person from Tampa; simple give them a call, or e-mail the hotel before your arrival to ensure you have the correct information. Have a wonderful time!
We noted nothing paranormal at the hotel at all! Abnormal in a good sense like having a chauffeur, an open bar before dinner....
as for the beds and room arrangement I would suggest contacting the hotel!
