Detailed Reviews
Probably the best hotel in Buffalo with a decent gym and is centrally located. Housekeeping can be improved with more diligent replenishment of toiletries and water.
This hotel uses a cute droid to deliver requested items (e.g. hair dryer, vanity kits etc.) to your room - it talks just like the droids in Star Wars! Loved it.

We were traveling to Buffalo for a family medical surgery. Our stay at the Westin was above and beyond our expectations! The staff made us feel welcomed upon check in and with every request we made we felt like the staff had the mindset of " How can we exceed their expectations" and the staff did upon every request. From room service to housekeeping, We have never felt so cared for during a hotel stay! My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary during this trip and the hotel stall moved into the Chairmen’s suite on our last day to celebrate and reduced the cost of the room as a way of honoring our celebration! They provided a special dessert to help us celebrate too, Once again proving they truly care about their customers experience. I must recognize the following staff member who made our trip remarkable. Cody, Zach, Ryan and Connor1. We plan on returning on our next visit!

Had an amazing stay at the Westin. My husband and I brought our dog, Gracie. The staff was incredibly accommodating and even brought our dog a fresh bed for her to sleep on overnight. The atmosphere was beautiful and the front desk staff was incredible. We will definitely be staying again!

As manager of a Canadian hockey team, I was well aware that al hotel bookings must be done through a third party. This is a total money grab, stay and play tournaments in Canada. I spent more time with the 3rd party group, Travelling Teams that if I had booked the rooms on my own. Prior to our arrival, the Catering department had asked for our schedule as "breakfast" was suppose to be included. Well for $183 US dollars, in November, in Buffalo, it better be. The first morning, fruit, yogurt and scrambled eggs in a hot plate were provided. Parents complained immediately at the poor selection, no bread, no meat, no potatoes etc. I quickly followed up and bacon and potato were added to the next morning. I advised the hotel well in advance, over 16 hours, and in the itinerary sent prior to our arrival that we may need breakfast earlier on the Sunday. I spoke to the Manager on duty at 1700 hours on Saturday and advised him that we needed to depart the hotel by 7:45am and putting breakfast out by 6:00am with take out containers would be appreciated. At 640am, there was still no food available. It finally came at 6:45 and we had to take food out, in containers. We were also late for the game and almost forfeited the game. Parents pay a lot of money for kids to play hockey and travel to tournaments. They were very disappointed at how the Westin handled the breakfast situation. I followed up with both the tournament director and the Westin management team, including the General Manager and heard NOTHING! Very very disappointing. I am encouraging all Canadian hockey teams to stay at home, spend money in our own beautiful country. Buffalo seems to be doing too well and does not require our business. I gave the Westin an opportunity to fix the problem, they chose to ignore completely. Very disappointed.

Dear Steve P - I completely understand that a manager at any level has obligations and burdens they carry for their team. I also know that your responsibilities continue off the ice as well. And no team needs additional distractions before a game. I know that there was considerable dialogue with our team before and during your visit. Even after several adjustments and attempts to accommodate your requests we were not able to exceed your expectations. I regret that this has been such a frustration to you. Negative guest experiences is far from the norm in our hotel. We wish you and your team the best season and hope that someday you will return to Buffalo. Best, John E.

The hotel itself is quite good. no issue there. comfortable beds, spacious rooms etc. The issue is the refusal to honor the bonvoy terms regarding to suite upgrades. I booked my room two weeks in advance. I checked in daily to check if suites were available as titanium means that you should get an upgrade if they were available. I messaged the hotel the morning of my arrival noting that I am arriving and that I would like an upgrade if possible if suites were available. (They were on the marriott app). I got a message back saying that it was not guaranteed. I got in to the hotel. the App was still saying it was available but the manager refused to honor the upgrade and said it wasn't cleaned and he wasn't cleaning it. I said if I had known, I would have stayed at another hotel. He then said I was welcome to leave. He was pretty arrogant and I felt completely disrespected. Will never stay there again.

The Good:
We were greeted upon checkin with glasses of champagne. The room was average, I would not rate it 4-Star. The bed was comfortable. The business center is two desktop computers and a printer with the screens open to everyone passing through, but it served my needs well and the print quality was good. The food was very good.
The Bad: for a $300 a night room, I expected a lot more. The TV didn’t have easy access to internet TV so that you could simply go to your subscriptions. Fortunately my husband brought his Firestick.
Breakfast we ordered for 7, b/c we had meetings. We were told to write an item that was on their menu but not listed on the door hanger (simple omelets) and it would be fine. Instead, we didn’t get breakfast until almost too late. They comp’d that first breakfast. A single ONE breakfast we shared each morning which consisted of air-fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon & 2 milks was $45! So breakfast for two would have cost over $100 each morning with gratuity.
Out view got very old: we were staring straight out at a concrete wall for 6 days. When we became trapped because of the 12/23/22 blizzard, we asked to switch to a room with a view b/c felt cloistering looking at that wall. We were told sorry there were no better rooms available. However when I went to their website I saw a vast array of choices and available rooms.
We were done. In a whiteout, Uber’s not running, wind chill -10 and zero visibility, we dragged our suitcases for .2 miles through snow drifts and nearly froze getting to a different Marriott hotel where we were greeted by friendly enthusiastic employees who went out of their way to help with baggage, dry us off, warm us up and make us feel very special. Although the lobby area was not quite as upscale, it was much more user friendly, had many more choices, and various beer & wine for sale in the fridge. Our new Marriott room has floor to ceiling windows all around on 12th floor, incredible view of the lake, and better amenities for the same price.
Worth braving the storm to leave the Westin.

We visited family in Buffalo for the Easter weekend and chose The Westin mostly because of the good reviews and for the Bonvoy points. We were simply blown away by the friendly and professional service we recevied at every moment of our stay. We had a slight issue with our remote control working and within minutes someone was at our room to fix it. The major highlight for our kids was the robotic butler Chip who made a surprise delivery of buffalo stuffed animals shortly after we checked in. Our kids were so excited--what a lovely way to welcome children! Later, we requested extra towels, and within minutes these were delivered by "Chip" as well, which was not only amusing, but also extremely convenient. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful and made you feel like a valued guest.
The room itself was well-appointed and clean with very comfortable beds. I would highly recommend The Westin to anyone traveling to Buffalo!

Couldn’t have been worse. Where do I start? With them giving another guest a key to our room and having someone walk in and say “holy sh*t”.
Or do I focus on the fact that they left music on in the courtyard late at night that was so loud in our 5th floor room we could sing along. There was nobody in the courtyard, they just “forgot” to turn off the music.
Or my fiancée getting locked in the staircase? No water provided. No coffee.
Do yourself a favor and find a better place to stay in Buffalo.

Really enjoyed the Westin Buffalo Hotel during my recent business trip due to the price value, excellent location and quality of rooms. The staff was extremely accommodating when I needed recommendations for local restaurants in the area since I didn’t really know the city. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I’ll be back soon. Jimmy

During this conference we toured Deleware North and learned about their customer service philosophy of "yes now". It was great to see it in action at The Westin. Every staff person was incredibly helpful, friendly and accomdating. The rooms are beautiful: spacious, comfortable furniture, tasteful decor. I loved the large bathroom and shower. The Fitness Center was the best I've ever seen in a hotel. They even have a robot named Chip that will bring items to your room when you speak into the Alexa. I definitely want to come back for a vacation so I have more time to enjoy the hotel.

Fridge only- the room is large with very comfortable bed/pillows, couch and nice bathroom- the only downside were the thin walls and if room is located overlooking the streets- very noisy ( cars/trucks/busses etc.) I believe there is a microwave in the gift shop downstairs off the lobby for general use.
I can't recommend any additional hotels as this hotel was the only place I've stayed in Buffalo. However - it is just south of Allenwood neighborhood. It was a really modern, convenient hotel.
Not sure . I would call the hotel and ask them
