Stayed at this hotel for a weekend after visiting the Basketball Museum- short drive from museum to hotel and it offers parking for additional fee. Only negative is the rooms do not have microwaves- we pack food for our family to keep the costs down, this was a negative to the hotel experience. The hotel has a pool and with Covid-19 you are required to reserve a time slot and it is cleaned between uses.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and two teenagers for one weekend night as we were sightseeing in the area. First, everything about the hotel was great! The location was convenient to everything in the Springfield area. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. It is also dog friendly and does not charge extra to bring your furry family member, which is wonderful. Parking is very conveniently located next door, although it does cost an extra $18. The parking elevator goes right into the hotel lobby. The room was well appointed, with comfortable beds and the shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was that from about 8pm until past 3am there were extremely loud motorcycles circling the hotel, racing and revving their engines almost nonstop!! I am not exaggerating this at all. I can typically sleep through anything, but this jarred all of us out of whatever sleep we were getting throughout the night. I know this was in no way the hotel's fault, but for me a hotel stay comes down to how good a night's sleep I get. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence, but I would have to think twice about staying here again.

Response from Stacey Gravanis, General Manager at Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel
Responded 11 Aug 2021
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for being our guest and for taking the time to review your experience. While we are very pleased to see that your overall experience was very positive, we are very sorry to hear that there was an issue with motorcycles disrupting your sleep. This seems to have been a widespread issue throughout the downtown area on the weekend of your visit. We have made mention of this to our Mayor as well as local authorities. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your kindness and your patronage and hope to welcome you back again soon. Best, Stacey Gravanis Vice President/General Manager Sheraton Springfield

This hotel was conveniently located near I91. The room was well appointed, clean, and a comfortable size. The room had a fairly large TV. I did not utilize the restaurant or other amenities.
The parking garage costs $20 per night. I did not realize this as it was not disclosed in the third party booking system. That is a substantial fee that should be clearly visible. I could have just as easily stayed in West Springfield and avoided this fee at some other place.
My room faced the interstate and river. The low level traffic noise might bother some although it was fine for me on the 8th floor.

I am a frequent business traveler across New England and typically stay in Springfield Mass 3 - 4 times per year. in Springfield I have always preferred the Sheraton due to it's location and proximity to food and entertainment. I can honestly tell you I have never experienced my rewards points being posted to my account without having to file a missing stay report. My last stay was about a month ago and following several emails back and forth I was told my stay credits did not post as I did not pay for my room. Well NOT TRUE and if they had looked at my folio that was attached they would have seen that. I pushed back and today exactly 1 month later was billed for an outstanding breakfast charge that apparently failed to make my folio at check out. to add insult to injury they today (30 days later) charged my AMEX for the meal and then told me I would need to follow up to make sure stay credits posted to my Marriott account. totally unprofessional of them and absolutely no remorse for what was their error (AGAIN). I would recommend any rewards member who stays here carefully watch for your credits to post.

I stayed at the Sheraton Monarch in September during the Big E and this past weekend for two nights each trip. There were a number of issues and I was told a manager would contact me during our stay, which did not happen, and then at check out I discussed what had happened with the front desk and was told a manager would call me (but that was over 2 days ago).
This past trip, I reserved a double bed room (as I was traveling with my two elementary aged daughters so there were 3 of us). I was given keys to a single bed room. Went back down, got another key, went up, and still a single bed. This happened a third time... My daughters and I went up and down 4 times until we finally got a room with a double bed. This was when I was told a manager would contact me but that never happened. During our check-in, I asked for additional bath towels, and even called the front desk when we finally got a room with a double bed to remind them of the towels and to confirm what room we were in. When we came back later that evening (about 5 hours later), no towels. So I had to call room service myself to get them. We had room service and my girls really liked the shrimp scampi (which we had had back in Sept also). So the following night, we ended up doing room service again and this time I ordered 2 shrimp scampi, but the dishes were very fishy and oily. I did tell the front desk at check out the next morning, and still no manager.
During our September stay, I was in a room where the toilet needed to be flushed 2-3 times for it to actually go down. I told the front desk and arranged to have maintenance come the next morning as it was relatively late, and I was with my two young daughters again. Unfortunately, when they were in bed, the toilet stopped working altogether. I asked to have another room and was told there were none, but upon pushing for it because of how tired my girls were from traveling early that morning (5 hour drive) and the activities of the day, they eventually moved us to another room. So we packed up and moved when they found us another room. I will add the sink did not have a stopper also, so it was just a big hole into the pipe. The new room was better although the toilet flushed very very slowly. I also tried to order room service the first night and no one picked up, so we ended up eating snacks I had brought as it was already pretty late.
If a manager had contacted me as promised during our last stay, I would have given 3 or 4 stars. But there are so many issues with this place that despite everyone being nice, I will be looking into the new hotel across the street which just opened for my next trip to Springfield, MA. I gave 2 stars because the rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.

Our night's stay was a great experience. The 1 King bed guest room was a nice size and great value for the price. The only drawback was the "mobility accessible room with bathtub." It is difficult entering and exiting the small tub. Also, with the new soaps and conditioner pump bottles hanging off the walls, the limited space is significantly reduced for turning around. A wand-style showerhead would have improved some of these concerns, but this was not an option at this hotel. Of particular note, the room service was excellent.

We paid extra for a room on the concierge floor, assuming there would be breakfast as there is in every other concierge floor lounge we have ever stayed at. At 6:30 in the morning the room was dirty, with trash strewn all about. There was no hot coffee or even water. The staff at the front desk told me that it was not their practice to put on hot coffee before 7:00am and that there was no breakfast on the weekends. They blamed the mess on “platinum members who have been in and out of the lounge all night.”

Absolutely awful when I first arrived I checked in with a Diane or Diana who had to be one of the most rudest people I have ever met, I noticed the pool closure sign which she snapped and said it states this on our website. Your website absolutely does not say this, when I said well I called and asked about the pool and what club access meant ( I was also told they serve hors d'œuvre, no one mentioned not on Friday or Saturday nights) she continued to tell me it wasn’t true and if I wanted to swim that bad I could go buy a day pass to the ymca , now if the Marriot across the street or MGM had any rooms left I would have taking my family across the street because I was completely appalled by this front desk clerk. When I checked into my room 417 it was completely outdated under the bed was filthy, the windows are gross, the bathroom vanity was all cracked on the side with old cocking coming out and smelled like mold. The room is extremely dark, there was only a flat sheet and mattress cover on as bedding so we could not pull down the flat sheet as you would be sleeping on a mattress cover and the mattress is awful not to mention your in a sleigh bed from the 1990’s, the mattress was also extremely old as I felt like I was sinking into springs. Not to mention you better bring an eye mask when your sleeping as the fire alarm is directly over the bed and flashes a bright white light all night. I paid over 500 dollars for one night with club access mind you it wasn’t full club access due to it being a Friday night (so do not book club access if your booking on a weekend as it’s a scam) to have one of the worst night sleeps I have ever had and met with one of the rudest staff members ever.
We had other friends staying here as well they did have updated rooms (mine was not) but they also couldn’t believe how gross the place was overall.
On a positive note your restaurant staff at MVP was great maybe they should teach your front desk staff a few things, food also was decent. Breakfast at picks was not good the chef making omelets/eggs used oil? ( way too much) when mixing the eggs, all you could taste was oil and completely ruined breakfast.

We purchased a large room block and a room rental for an event we had in Springfield. The entire sales staff was AMAZING. Moira Barden, Alyssa Fini and Christine Reed all provided excellent service. They were very quick to answer emails and take care of all of our needs. I was so impressed by the way they handled everything. What a joy to work with all of them. Everyone that stayed at the hotel had nothing but amazing things to say about the hotel staff, rooms and food. Also, really great rates as well. Please keep this place in mind for an event or even a vacation. You will be happy you did!

I just returned from a Saturday night stay at the Sheraton in Springfield. This is a nice hotel with nice staff. Although the hotel itself could use a little updating, we found the bed very comfortable and found the room to be quiet and clean. Everything was at a nice price, and a short walk from the MGM casino.
The staff really stands out at this hotel! We were fortunate enough to be checked in by Emily, who was immediately friendly and knowledgeable. Emily took the time to find us a wonderful corner room (#810) that was spacious and comfortable. For a large hotel with 350+ rooms, Emily offered personalized customer service. The next morning at check out, Emily remembered and greeted me by name which was a very nice gesture! She made sure to ask how our stay was and if everything went well with the stay (it did!). I think Emily is a great asset to the hotel!

Yes, the pool is open at this time - there is a sign up list at the front desk to reserve your time. The pool is cleaned between each use.
I do not know? We drove when we went. Sorry I can't help. Seems like the kind of hotel that would tho.
Oh, its downtown, so running overall may be a challenge unless you like frequent stops. I would suggest the fitness center in the hotel or LA Fitness
Best thing to do is try google map from that location. Always works for me :)
