Foot on the sand, wonderful restaurant and excellent food, excellent bed for sleeping many hours, beautiful decoration and super attentive staff - apart from the silence and the exuberant nature. Small beach and a beautiful view .

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights here and although it rained everyday we had a great time. This is a small, boutique hotel that feels very private. I have listed our most and least favorite things below but overall I would come back and recommend it to anyone looking to relax and unplug a little while being treated like royalty. Pros: - Delicious breakfast. Buffet style with eggs, bacon, breads, fruits, cold cuts, yogurt, several cakes, pastries, Brazilian cheese bread plus several items available ‘made to order’ such as tapioca and fresh juices. - very courteous, efficient, and well-trained staff. From wait to front desk and room/cleaning staff: service was implacable. - live music by the pool on Saturday afternoon was very pleasant and such a treat. - 24hr dry sauna by the pool - beautiful views (and sunsets) - beach is quiet (for Brazilian standard) - full wait service at pool and beach - our room was cleaned and ‘prepped’ for us multiple times a day. - beautiful infinity pool Cons: - No gym - mosquitos everywhere not only here but everywhere on the island (not their fault, they actually had mosquito repellent in form of lotion and outlet plug-in available in the room) - they charge you for used expresso pods that are available in the room (never seen that before) - beach sand is darker than other areas of Island

My wife and I spent our first time on Ilhabela this week and are so glad we picked this place to stay. Great staff, private location, great room and amenities. Would highly recommend it! And the restaurant next door is great too.

We had an amazing weekend. Great room, great service, great food, great ambiance. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and when they found out, they put pictures of us in the room with a bottle of Champagne. On Saturday afternoon there was “sax on the beach” musician that played for 2 hours before sunset. Will definitively come back.

My review really is summed up in the title. This place sells an “exclusive” experience in the island, and it falls short. Big time. I celebrated my wedding anniversary here, looking for a heavenly place to gather with family and friends, most of whom traveled very far to be with us. Our experience was mixed. PROS: the place is truly beautiful. The common areas are stunning. You can spend great lounging days by an infinity pool or in a very well decorated common living area. The garden celebrates local vegetation - hummingbirds and butterflies visit often. The restaurant workers are very sweet. They did everything and anything to help our day go well. The receptionists are very well composed and polite. CONS: they were dishonest about our stay and never told us about the reparations happening at the hotel due to a recent storm. We arrived to an empty pool, hoses everywhere (I tripped), and constant hammering in the upper deck. I thought the next day would be different but it was not. The pool was muggy and improper for swim. The beach is too polluted to swim (which I only learned when I left - everyone saw us going into polluted waters and said nothing. I did not see signs anywhere). The hammering continued. We spent a full 24hrs with nothing but hammers and workers everywhere fixing infrastructural issues. They talked loudly by our suite (and I heard conversations I don’t wish to hear) waking us up. Exhausted, from jet lag and not being able to fully rest and enjoy the promise of “serenity”, we scheduled massages - to the sound track of drills and hammers. It was very stressful! I had already notified the workers that I needed AT LEAST 24hrs of what they promise in their website (an exclusive and unforgettable experience). Mind you - we stayed three nights there! The workers stopped with the hammering for the next 20hrs or so. Also- We ran out of water. There was no water in the shower and for a bit only cold water. mmm there’s pretty much no internet. You walk outside anywhere but in the hotel premises and you’ll get a signal. Not here. Not their WiFi or your own. Which would be fine, except that I was enjoying a preset dinner there in celebration of our anniversary with no way to transfer money to the professionals there. It was stressful. The food: fully mediocre. I fell for the “gastronomy” they sell and paid a hefty price for it (and about 20 guests). I was not impressed by any of it (I’m Brazilian and promise you that you can get MUCH BETTER FOOD for MUCH LESS elsewhere). All in all, our event was still amazing (for the duration of it, but not really during our stay). I’m not a demanding person and was happy with the views and being with my family, despite the terrible experience otherwise. I think this hotel pretends to be top - they’re not there yet. They need to learn about the senses of an amazing experience (sound is one of them) and work on their food. Also, the price is dishonest, really. We were given no discount, not a single soda, for having a cold shower, and improper pool and ocean, and listening to a hammer for three days. All we got was excuses and no compensation for money spent on a false promise. All in all: beautiful place/location and workers. A fail on maintenance or premises, food, and customer care.

A truly luxurious hotel on one of the best – though smallest – beaches on the island. The public areas are quite brilliant with a superb infinity pool right on the beach. We had a problem with the air conditioning which was a bit annoying but the staff were very understanding and moved us to an even better suite for our last night. This is a very relaxing and comfortable hotel and certainly one of the very best on the island.

My wife and I stayed here for the 2nd week of our honeymoon. It was heavenly. From the moment you enter (welcome drinks) to the moment you leave (goodbye gift), they thought about it all! It's a quiet environment, not crowded due to the architectural plan of the place (not many suites). It's located at what has become our favourite beach on Ilhabela, Praia Do Julião. The staff leaves personal hand-written inspirational notes on your bed, food is so good, ... Sunset is unreal at this place, (colours are beautiful and changing as the sun goes down) so romantic to walk.. Finally: there is a small island in front of the beach that you can swim to if you're a good swimmer, I loved this! Best things: peaceful well-designed suites, perfect beach Praia Do Julião, sunset is unforgettable, small island to swim to, great food, great staff. Small minors: Sauna wasn't always on and took a long time to heat up. Be aware that tips are not allowed as they are included in the price. Big thank you to Felipe who did a great job welcoming us.

Amazing all around, from the breathtaking views to the impeccable service, there was nothing we could fault. We will definitely try to make it back! Just remember to bring insect repellent, you will need it... however they do provide a bottle at no charge

We have only experienced the restaurant (several times), for dinner and breakfast and walked around the grounds, so cannot comment on the rooms, etc The location is beautiful, in a relatively secluded (= less crowded, during the high season) corner of one of the most beautiful beaches in Ilhabela. It is a small, boutique hotel. The hotel is tastefully decorated and very well maintained. Beautiful pool, nice sauna with a view to the sea. The restaurant itself is very good. During weekends and at all times during the high season, they cannot accept reservations for non- guests. During the weeks, of season, they do. Restaurant pluses: + Very good cuisine, especially the "local" dishes - the moqueca is excellent. The menu variety used to be limited, but they have recently expanded their menu + Great location with a view to the sea. You can sit inside or outdoors + Attentive service Minuses: - The wine list has a limited selection; however, the selections well made.

Stayed there for my birthday. The staff (specially the hostesses) is incredibly helpful and friendly. They even called us by our names! The hotel restaurant is very good. They kindly provided us with an exclusive table at the beach for our first diner. Very romantic. The breakfast (included in the rate) is fresh and has a pretty good range of options, with eggs, tapioca, fresh fruit, cheese, breads and cakes (made locally). The room is spacious, as is the bathroom. Very cleand and well decorated. The view from the pool is fantastic. A very charming option to stay in Ilhabela.
