So after reading a billion reviews on different hotels, my fiancé (at the time) and I chose this one to go to for our honeymoon directly after our wedding. We had booked a partial ocean view room, and initially, they put us in a room overlooking the lobby. Not the vibe we were going for on our honeymoon, so after speaking to the hotel, they moved us to a room near the adult infinity pool. So much better. So beautiful and relaxing to hang out on the balcony this time. So the staff is amazing. We were treated to mai tai tickets upon check in. They sent champagne to our room. We did the lei making class that came with the resort fee. That was a great time. Zeni, our lovely housekeeper, was AMAZING. The concierge helped us out with getting in last minute to some excursions and the luau. (On that note, definitely recommend ATVing and the sunset dinner cruise with Alli Nui). The grounds are INCREDIBLE. I know there are some reviews about the rooms being dated, but I think that depends on what hale/building you're in. We spent more time on the balcony and outside of the room, so that's what mattered to us. Also, we were told this is the resort on Wailea that is closest to the water. So one night, we decided to see if this was true and we went to the Andaz, Four Seasons, Fairmont, and Grand Wailea. It is true! The location of the Wailea Beach Resort is unmatched in our opinion. Not to mention, it's maybe a 5 minute walk to the Shops of Wailea that has a grocery store, ABC general store, as well as countless retail shops. That helped a ton when we realized how much we forgot to bring and for snacks/drinks/etc. Also, the rooms come with a fridge and not a microwave. All good, you can get them to bring you a microwave if needed. I can't stop thinking about our stay. It was an unforgettable trip and I don't think we'll ever stay at another hotel besides the Wailea Beach Resort.…
This is the first getaway my wife and I took coming out of the pandemic in 2020-2021. We were very familiar staying in Kaanapali, but wanted something slower and more initiate, so we chose the Marriott. We got there a bit early, but they offered to check us in right away. I’m not sure they got the couple on vacation vibe when we checked in, cause they out is in a room overlooking the party pool. To their credit they corrects it quickly and put us in the tower. It was 5 nights of relaxation, water sports, cabana and beach sprinkled with healthy doses of cocktails. Even though the price was a abut steeper this year, we felt we had to go back. Hoping we get a similar or better experience this time. Checking in tomorrow, will update this review soon after!
My Family and I just got back home from a 10 day trip to Maui (June 2022). The Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott is one of the most fantastic resorts I have ever been to. The service from Valet, Housekeeping, Poolside , Restaurants and Help Desk were all amazing! Everywhere you go on the resort is top shelf. The pools were all beautiful and clean. The views of the ocean and beach were absolutely stunning. We paddle boarded, kayaked and snorkeled at Wailea Beach make sure you hit the beach up early if you want an umbrella and chairs, around 2pm daily the trade-winds would pick up and we would move to poolside. The Turtles were swimming all along the shorelines near the volcanic rock points. Excellent time! Highly Recommend!
We stayed here for the first time at the end of May 2022. The staff members are very friendly. The hotel overall felt a bit dated and dark. Restaurants were good, not great. Would have loved a bit more variety of menu items. Also need reservations for dinner unless you are fine sitting at the bar (which is our preferred). Spa was not good. We both had massages. The spa environment itself is not very relaxing or inviting. Has the feel of a strip mall hair salon. Massage wasn't very good either. Note that the spa at the Westin is fabulous!! Yoga on the beach is totally worth the additional cost - highly recommend it! The fitness facilities are great - better than most hotels! Beach area is fine. Like most hotel beaches, the chairs get taken very early with folks putting their stuff on them and then leaving. Would be great if hotels could solve this problem. Paddle boards available for guest usage were in great shape and readily available when we were there. Room itself was okay (King room with ocean view). Balcony was wonderful with comfy chairs and table. Actually, it's quite spacious. I really appreciated the well-stocked coffee service in the room. Had a couple of issues with the bathroom (sink drained slowly and toilet ran) and maintenance was very responsive. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation but likely wouldn't return to this hotel.…
My partner and I visited the Wailea Beach Resort for our first vacation since before Covid. We had such a lovely time. The resort is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. You can snorkel right in front of the resort and see turtles and fish. There is a nice seawall that you can walk in the mornings that goes past the Four Seasons and Fairmont properties. The adults only infinity pool is top notch and so relaxing. The service by the pool was great. The welcome amenities were very nice - orchid leis for the women and beads for the men. We got engaged on our trip and were treated to a lovely bottle of champagne. The only con was the photography company lost the video of our engagement. This was very disappointing to us but they did give us access to all of our photos as a consolation. We look forward to returning to the resort.…
We hotel hop when we are on vacation. On Maui we were at 4 different hotels. This one was my daughters favorite. When you got in you could play ukuleles. You received a welcome drink. Girls had Lei’s boys had beads. (I don’t know the real name) They had a game room, huge store, room service option. Sunset is beautiful from the hotel. They had relaxing areas and great photo ops. The drive in was stunning. The room was nice and spacious. I would easily go back. Next time I would leave more time to spend at the hotel. Room service was good and not extremely expensive.
I signed up on a whim for our family of 5, which includes a 5yo, 3yo, and 2yo. I was hoping for one decent picture and ended up with around 40! Our photographer, Will, was very accomadating and professional. Pictures were available for viewing the next day and there was zero pressure to purchase. We will definitely use Blinnk again!
We were treated like royalty at the Wailea Marriot Beach Resort - after booking on points! Here are some of the great things about our short stay: every worker we interacted with were so pleasant and helpful; our full ocean view room was amazing; they had bikes we used a couple of times; endless supply of pool towels without the hassle of having to handle cards; use of the early arrival / late departure lounge complete with lockers/showers/bathing suit ringer; nice lei’s on arrival as well as complimentary Mai Tai tickets. Shay at the Serenity poolside and Waterslide bars was awesome remembering all sorts of details about our group of friends we were with. The complimentary beers and snacks that we unexpectedly received were the crowning touch!
We had family photos taken by Blinnk on property. Our photographer, William, was excellent…professional and accommodating. The photos were beautiful and will be a wonderful memory of our time on Maui. Would definitely recommend taking advantage of the photo shoot opportunity. No hard sell to purchase the photos either
Came in as a Platinum member and was blown away by how great this property and staff are here. Check in was great and was upgraded to a suite after asking. Staff were all very friendly and had plenty of people to help. Kids pool was great and everyone loved the water slides. 2 free mai tai drinks upon check in were also nice. They give you two free drink tickets which are actually worth around $40 total. Views were great. Food was expensive. Grounds were awesome and the hotel has so much going on. Would definitely recommend this place as a great stay. Used points and booked six months ago before Marriott devalued their points. Property is now very expensive to book. We got a great value though as our upgraded room was almost $2000/night.
